how does the durability go when being attacked ?

The items do not get any damage.

is there the option to change it with ini setting? like only infinite durability for the haz effect but still damage via direct attacks?

Yeah that would be nice because having unbreakable armor would allow you to cheese some fights unfortunately.

Hazmat armor ratings aren't exactly OP in any sense.

You are right but most of the time you die because the armor breaks.

There is a devkit update now.
I would love this feature too, or else its just too OP :(
