My Critique and questions...
Was getting tired upon preparing this, so hope its not too direct or worded a bit off....I didn't use grammarly or any spell checks...derp!

Well some friends and I played for about 5 hours and used Cheat Mode to speed through the game so we could experience it all & fast for testing thngs out. For some reason you unfortunately disabled FIND ITEMS, so this is why it took so long.

About to give a short critique. As a graphic designer I get critiques everyday, just learn not to take them personally. I plan on taking MODDING seriously, due to starting some myself...! So hoping this conversation is helping out more than sounding harsh to the ignorant ears. I hope to helpout with whatever might better anything mentioned.

Feel free to help me with critique; it would be greatly appreciated. I am sure my friends will be the most critical(which would seem harsh to people who don't understand a true critique), but then that should be expected!

(Friends assisted)
Pretty much everything that was encountered had issues of sameness + Copy&Pasted or just dwelled in a very grey zone. I guess it really comes down to what is considered new. I say if you use everything that already existed and the item can't serve a new purpose from it's original state then it is a copy with a new color theme and/or a nice rename. Definitely not a new item due to nothing else has really changed, to be something different from the original needs more than just coloring or renaming. If stats were majorly changed then the item could have not only have a new look, but could be more useful and considered something new. Simply because it offers something else that was not there before (then rename it and BOOM! = NEW ITEM). I think of it like this....if you have a car and you replace the engine with a brand new faster one, is it then new or just like new?...given that all the other parts are still used? Likewise changing the stats with attack speed from 80 to 120 on an Axe weapon; you then can call that Axe a Quick Axe...BOOM! new item, because it can serve a better/different purpose from the original. Even if you just recolored the quick axe it would still pass as a new item. Red is considered a fast color so maybe recolor it reddish along with the speed change.

EXAMPLE:
1. Warsword Conquest MOD: crazy weapons that were created, maybe used original skins for a base format, but OMG can you tell? ...nope! ...but if you could the stats changed, weight, speed, color, item renamed, size and more!

2. Perisno MOD - Siegfried's Flaming sword and all the gear made for the giants! Some of the Giant gear looked just like ORC weapons from Warsword Conquest MOD, but still managed to be different enough to feel new!

Unless there is something we missed the 251 new items didn't feel experienced within this boosted timeframe. There were quite a few grey lined possibles and a couple we could not find matches for, but thought familiar. So there was quite a few possibles, but anothing close to even 50, let alone 251. If you could inform me what you considered new, it would be appreciated. Just seems impossible we could've missed it during 5 hours of gameplay with hundreds of refreshed markets between each of us, but I guess anything is possible.

All major cities were visited over and over again and breezed through at least 175+ quests myself...after traveling constantly throughout each and every major city that had a market for just under-to around 5 hours. I raced though the game so fast I got to day 420 in one of the saves; just to make sure proper events weren't missed out on.

The 250 new units I am guessing was counting the ones with new clothes that were recolored, but still using the original model? I noticed unit evolution was changed a bit to where certain ranks could be earned through leveling up faster. Is this what you considered part of the new units? Seems more like a faster leveling boost than new units. A kind of grey line given they only changed clothes, color or ranking up faster. To me new in this situation would be if they were all turned into dragons or some other race or maybe changed in size and had blue skin. To just change clothes....maybe it was their Saturday outfit and maybe tomorrow they might where their Sunday outfit, but at the end of the day...still the same purposed guy or gal. I could be a bit over critical here, but like I said New to me is something different than just recoloring, renaming and in this case changing clothes or existing unchanged models. How about chaning the race from human to en elf? Slight change, but hey its a new character(example)! I ones I checked all still had the same stats, abilities or function as their originals, just earned faster. Maybe if they moved faster or had a major increase in strength that could prove to be more new feeling. Some examples of what I consider new units in these MODs below...

EXAMPLES:
1. Warsword Conquest = Orcs, Goblins, Chaos, Dwarves, Undead, Skaven and more!
2. Prophesey of Pendor = Dwarves and Giants!
3. Star Wars Conquest = All of it!
4. Perisno = Every single faction was unique in more than one way! Especially the Giants!
5. Geku Soju = Almost all of it!

SIDE NOTE: In graphic design we learn that you can use someone else's work, but it you don't manipulate it enough to make it your own, you have to give credit where credit is due. It also can be a bit of a grey line area.

I did notice many clothing changes and recoloring of key NPC characters like the GUILD MASTERS and some of the various LORDS...such bright coloring and vivid coloring. Some of the recoloring is so vivid its almost causes a headache to some eyes. Try making an army of these very vivid-neon colored-clothed units.....OUCH! brightness! :steammocking: YOU CAN LITERALLY SEE THEM FROM OPPOSITE CORNERS OF THE MAP! Recoloring craziness! ...but I guess this makes it unique in coloring at least...

QUESTIONS?
1. I didn't really hear any music that made me feel like I have not heard it before. Was curious where you got your music? Regardless the music was very fitting and nice to listen to.

2. What Items you did make from scratch as new?

Most of it was close enough to grey line acceptable, but if you ever decide to use other MODDERS items, you should give credit out to whomever had the original creation; especially if the skin is hardly changed at all, or not at all and just recolored. That is up to you though, just the right thing to do among modders and creators.

AS FAR AS THE ENGLISH_____________________I will update when I play some more!

At the very beginning just after character creation "Throw Away Mongols From Anatolia" Suggested rewording to:

"Banish all Mongols from Anatolia!" - This wording would fit the lore of the era a little more.

"Cast out all Mongols from Anatolia!" - This wording would fit the lore of the era a little more.

"Force all Mongols out of Anatolia!"

"Remove all Mongols from Anatolia!"

OR THE MORE DIRECT MESSEGE____________

"Eradicate all Mongols in Anatolia!"

"Obliterate all mongols in Anatolia!"

"Eliminate all Mongols in Anatolia!" - This one is my favorite!

"Annihilate the Mongols in Anatolia!"

A BIT MORE RACIAL&NATION BASED____________

"Genocide of the Mongols!" or basic "Mongol Genocide!"

RULER TARGETTING_____________

"Death to Genghis Khan!" or "End Genghis Khans Reign"

I knew enough about the quests to be able to follow even without being able to read certain parts, but a new player that has not had the chance to play for many years like me or another veteran player, might have a lot of dificulty following the game.

Only real problem is you renamed a lot of items and finding the proper items for quests or personal shops will be harder for players to fill the inventories to help in producing other items.

As long as tools are still tools and oil is still oil....then us veteran players can still follow the game, but newer players will be lost.

UNITS_________

Not all the possible rank changes for promotion are in english, but are in both languages

New unit types would be cool! Although, I was able to match them up to their original versions stat for stat. Maybe instead of faster ranking up to higher tiered units, there could be a brand new created last rank that never existed before.

Ok I am a bit tired and must go for now... I hope this does not come across as too harsh, but this is what happens when you put a few heads together with mine. I actually had an extremely longer version with many exmaples and whatnot, but condejnsed it down to this. I was pretending I was a 90s beta tester once again and wrote my report up...lol TOLD YOU I wanted to take MODDING more serious!

The Joker: "WHY SO SERIOUS?"

If you need any help with anything let me know...
