This Mods Policy On Fliers
So I thought I would make this statement, I am fully aware that many people are totally against the idea of flyers on Aberration, a stance that I myself fully support, on my own server the only flyer that I will be allowing is the moth. However I will continue to add them to this mod, because they look cool as Aberrant versions, and because there are people that want them. I've gone back and forth on the best way to handle them, to give the option to have to enable them manually, or to make those that don't want them to have to disable them, in the end I've fallen on the side of that which is easiest for me as the mod creator.

To be able to make them have to be manually enabled I would have to go and create a specific spawn map through map extension, with the Spawn Zone Managers manually enabled through Ini, which whilst something I'm very capable of doing (It's how Additional Desert Dinos 2.0 is done) it's a lot of work and extra effort on my behalf when compared to adding them to existing spawn containers. I've also decide to continue with those spawns that I would like to remain on the rarer side to be random chances of replacing existing Aberrant creatures, it's neater and easier for me.

Therefore to make things easier for server admins and those who do not wish to have any flyers at all in their single player games, please put the following into your Game.Ini file as soon as you install the mod.

Making sure to put this underneath the [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] heading:

(If running with Better Dinos then use Moth_Character_BP_Aberrant_BD_C)
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Tapejara_Character_BP_Aberrant_C",ToClassName="")
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Ptero_Character_BP_Aberrant_C",ToClassName="")
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Argent_Character_BP_Aberrant_C",ToClassName="")
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Griffin_Character_BP_Aberrant_C",ToClassName="")
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Quetz_Character_BP_AADAberrant_C",ToClassName="")
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="NightWyvern_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="")

Doing this now will ensure that all current and future aberrant flyers are removed from your game.

For those who do wish to keep flyers in, a few heads up.

  • No Aberrant flyer will be immune to radiation with the exception of the Wyvern.
  • The tougher/more useful they are, the rarer I will be making them to spawn.
  • At least one will spawn on the the surface (I'll let you guess which one for now)
