First of all, i'd really like for radiation to take into account the thickness of walls that protect you, i just haven't found a way yet. What i need is for lua rangers to return how much material they're gone through.
Second, shock absorbers are only used in bunkers because a ground burst will cause an earthquake, that's how bunkers are destroyed. The "shockwave" we're talking about here is the blast overpressure (air blast) and the only way to resist that would be a very heavy construction, like missile silos are hardened to resist more than 300psi overpressures (5psi blows away a house).
Maybe if i take into account the density (weight / volume) of props and if they're welded to the world? That will require some math and lots of fine tuning, thanks for the idea.
