Can we actually get some metallics in your works?
Like I said previously in your Wukong skin, I understand that you wish to be subtle. However you do not necessarily have to not use metallic textures in your skins, rather just limit their useage so that they aren't excessive. As I've stated earlier the game severely lacks customization that are also metallic-less, and those that we have are fairly outdated and are much desired for a texture update. Not including metallic in a skin would simply limit its potentials when attempting to fashion with it, as items with metallic dominates the game as of now and will probably remain that way for the entirety of Warframe's lifespan.

Can't you just let him have his own style? there are a lot of different artists that make skins with tons of metalics. Rekkou knows what he's doing

I prefer it without metalics plus ALL of the excal skins now a days have metalics on em and its borin. This however is subtle and thats why its popular something new and a shift in the right direction.

i too agree, need metalics so that i can have my little gold bits

You know what? i don't need to justify myself, there is actually no rule saying that a warframe needs to have matching metallics in order to match the metallic accesories. And even if the metallic matches, plenty of armors like Grineer and Corpus have different styling than warframe that are mostly tenno/infested/orokin. If matching them are not a problem then why only matching metallics becomes a problem? You can match anything you want, this limitation you mentioned is really just you being nitpicky.

I like the look of the skin. Gives Excal a more streamlined and aggressive look I think. Digging the culture shift, good job man! Anyone WILLING to put time and effort into something like this so us life sucking trogolodytes can enjoy it is something special. Appreciate all your work.

i would rather it not have any metalic either, we already have good amount of metalic skins, and sometime those metalic parts kinda get in a way. i rather have more spot for energy than metalic at this point.

Yes, nitpicky is basically what doing fashionframe is. I’m not going to throw together things that visually collide with each other and call it a day, like putting on Grineer mixed with Corpus armour sets. I’m not saying I don’t like the skin, however again I would like to point out that metallic-less armour and syandanna are rare and either do not fit the theme of most frames or simply looks far too outdated. Also are all rendered kinda null by the absurd amount of Tenno and Orokin armour sets in the game currently, I count at the very least 23 sets including Prime armour sets just on PC, while Grineer, Corpus, infested and Sentient sets combined only equal to 13, almost half the number of how many Tenno/Orokin themed armour there is. And since they would go onto just about every frame there with little to no problems, I don’t see why there’s a point picking those sets instead of picking from the minority, unless you’re using some TennoGen skin. Although you can simply just put pieces of metallic armour sets on your non-metallic frame, it doesn’t really feel balanced between the two, since your armour will have metallic hughlights and stand out more than the plane skins. Even subtle metallic like the ones on Saryn Prime (yeah, there are Primes that don’t look super flamboyant in the game) will add a good touch and drastically lighten up the frames themselves, now that it also includes parts that are beautifully highlighted. Of course similar results can be achieved through the use of good colour combinations, but once again like I’ve mentioned earlier, there are currently no up-to-date metallic-less armour sets to match, and anything with metallic on it will just outshine the frames they’re on.

Oh... people. Lets make it simple, you don't like it, don't buy it, there are tons of different skins to choose, buy them instead. Don't apply your personal opinion to others and think they would be the same. Not many people like too many metal. So far only Primes and Harrow have metallic details. If your fashionframe needs some metal to look the best then your taste is just generic.

Everyone's a critic. The design is fine the way it is, let the guy make what he wants for christ's sake - his material's good and he clearly knows what he's doing. You want a skin with metallic accents, either make your own, or pick from the wide variety already available.

omg, whats going on with this discussion.. o.o

Thanks for the support and understanding. I'm not completely closed to change. if you can show a compelling reason for a change then i might change it. But if it's not part of the art direction then changing just for the sake of matching accessories with different art direction is not a good reason. Especially if you're making it quite obvious that the change is not a constructive improvements for the items and basically just a personal demand to cater to your preference.

It looks really amazing and I'll gladly buy this when I see it on the market. Although PERSONALLY I'd like some metallic details (i emphasize: just details), too.

The current design looks really nice and futuristic and reminds me of cyberpunk (check Cyberpunk 2077 for some arts) / ninja style. It also reminds me of some ninja exo suits in the Metal Gear series. And I'm definitely in love with both Cyberpunk and MGS art. Some metallic details would uplift the design in to that kind of art I think. But it would definitely change the style you are going for with this. If you feel like it's something not suiting you then just definitely don't do it. That kind of art is by far my favorite tho. And shamefully, altho people love it, it's hard to do.

Whatever you choose, my respect for the amazing design.

I'll just say this : I like sober styles like metallic style, but I think warframe lacks those kind of skin, So Rekkou if you read this, just continue on your launch !!!

Love your skin, just do keep doing what you do best. Keep it simple but with style. Ignore the other comments.

Bad response. If you can't handle criticism then you have no place in an art-based business. This kind of response is how you LOSE votes.
