How to Remove Loading Screens You Don't Want
Info

If you wish to not have a certain loading screen from a particular mod, maybe even this mod, then follow these directions to remove the loading screen you no longer want.

If you require more assistance than this guide can provide, feel free to PM me or just leave a comment.

Instructions

Follow these directions to remove a loading screen you no longer want from a Stellaris workshop mod:

  1. Go to wherever your installed Steam at. And navigate to "\steamapps\workshop\content\281990".

This is where the Stellaris mods' files are.

  2. Here, you will have to find the id# of any mods that you wish to remove loading screens for.

For example; "\281990\683230077", is where NSC is installed and Backgrounds+ Loading Screens is in "\281990\1279836097".

If you are unsure what the id# of the mod you wish to edit is, simply look at the Steam Workshop mod page in a browser and look at the link. The long string of numbers after '?id=' is the mod id.

  3. Then, open the .zip of the mod you wish to edit and navigate to "/gfx", in that folder you should find a folder titled 'loadingscreens'.

Within the folder, delete the backgrounds you don't want showing up. If you wish for none of the backgrounds in that folder to show up, then you can safely delete the folder.

  4. Do this for every time that there is an update for whichever mod that you have removed the loading screens for, as mod updates re-download files.
