Drastic slowdown with more perks
I think I mentioned this a long time ago in the main thread, but I wanted to make a post about it to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue or knows how to fix it.

Basically, the more perks you take on a soldier, the longer it takes for them to move.

As a basis for starters, back when LW2 was a thing, I had max rank soldiers with all 3 perks per level taken, and never had this issue. I think that's, what, 21-24 perks total? Game still ran like butter.

Using RPGO, once I fill up the displayed perks in combat (the area in the bottom left of the screen, in case you didn't know) with perks, everything goes to crap. The first thing that happens is it causes the game to take forever on the initial load of the soldiers - after the animation of them jumping out of the Skyranger, it loads the map, but the soldiers aren't there. Everything freezes for a solid 20-30 seconds, and then the soldiers load in.

Secondly, and the most annoying, I will click an area for the soldier to move, and it sometimes takes up to 20 seconds for the soldier to actually move. They can fire, reaction fire, use abilities, etc just fine, but when it comes to moving, it's painfully slow. This only affects the soldiers with a lot of perks; anyone with less than 10 or so works perfectly fine, but the higher the number increases beyond that, the larger the increase in time it takes to move them.

If I reset the soldier, so it has no perks at all, everything is fine. But again, the more perks, the slower the move time.

I know what the first response is going to say - take fewer perks. If I wanted to take fewer perks, I wouldn't be using RPGO. I love the amount of customization I get with this mod. No, I don't just take all the 'good' perks on every soldier by default. I specifically build them for what I want them to be. I stay away from any of the perks that seem CPU intensive - Gain X Defense based on how many enemies are around, things like that. I only pick ones that give passive bonuses (like +armor, +crit, +hit, etc), and abilities that I have to activate myself. I don't use any abilities that grant squad wide bonuses.

Sorry for such a long post! This just really frustrates me and I would LOVE to find a solution to this. Can anyone shed some light on why this is a thing, and if there is a way to fix it?
