Bug #2 - it's something related to few interface and mechanic files, which I also found a fix thanks to framedarchitecture and hambil, but it also requires the mod to be updated, it's not something I can tell you how to do because it'd ruin other mods and single-player games.
"What are you waiting for, then?"
Well, even though Steam Workshop allows multiple collaborators, only the user who originally uploaded the mod can push updates, and that's VirtuaBoza. I don't know if he had personal problems or something, but I haven't been able to reach him for a while, so there's no way I can fix it.
So, in short: yes, it's dead for now.
It basically always crashes on loading, be it if I try on the game's main menu or after loading the mod. What I found out, 'tho, is that if you try once to load the game via the Mods menu and it crashing, if you try to load from the Main Menu it will load, but usually it will crash after a few more turns of gameplay.
So, is there any kind of fix for this? Without being able to save/load games at will, playing this Mod becomes somewhat impossible, considering how long Civ V games can run - especially those set in the Scenario "The Known World". Even keeping the game always open doesn't work for it always seem to crash at around turn 200.
