I think you need to ask down of dead v 2.0 (and for permission too), because I can only guess how does it work. Animations, I suppose. This control type has pros and contras. I suppose that it's better for flat maps with air-to-ground focus, but you will have visual bugs if you'll use it on terrain with hills, pits, buildings with land rooftops.
