The Ptero issue is caused by the current lack of collisions, as being knocked out of the air by a stray Ptero seemed more annoying to the community than the exploit of accelerating by flying into the ground. Once I figure out how to get my tracers working again, collisions will be added back.
As for the wyverns- Better Dinos wyverns are different from base game wyverns, so they are unaffected by the Evolver, which can only change between base game and BF versions.
No sooner that I moved the mouse, I lost complete control over flight direction by controller. I could go forwards and land, but moving the stick only paned the camera.(at least in flight, it still turns as normal on ground)
This issue is merely an inconvenience to me, however I want to bring it to your attention so that you could address it when you get to point of adding full controller support.
Edit: after an extended session and more flights, I've discovered that the breaking/hover mechanic is responsible for the loss of controller recognition. In my experience, using the break('x' key) without coming to a complete stop, would lock the flier into its current heading, not allowing it to be changed through a controller; not even landing and taking off would fix it. Additionally in several cases, my flier would not gain speed, sprinting or otherwise. only by coming to a complete stop/hover, and then using mouse and keyboard('w' key) to move, would the controller begin to operate correctly.
I'm attempting to tame a normal argy through a mod from the back of a BF Ptera, and I'm running into to an issue; and that is the BF argys.
I CANNOT ESCAPE THEM!
Even at a full sprint their going a good three times my speed, twice now i've almost lost my Ptera because I couldn't get away. The only thing that saved me was them getting distracted, and as fast as they are, they never fall far enough behind to lose aggro, so if they don't get distracted; they will chase you across the map.
I enjoy the speed that this mod enables fliers to reach, however; they should not be inescapable. especially between two fliers, one of which is naturally faster than the other.
And due to the mod I'm using, I can't fight back either, if I do; the tame will fail.
Also, the Immersive Taming mod doesn't seem to work with BF flyers. Though I'm hoping the spawning of BF flyers in the wild will be removed completely because of a lot of these issues of them acting ridiculous and being super fast.
I use Immersive Taming and have tamed BF flyers. well nearly tamed, low level character on center, they flew across the water partway through. However they were accepting the baits like their vanilla counterparts, the only issue was keeping up with them to drop a bait.
These could be user errors, if so, just let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!
