Summoner not filling items list

I have placed a summoner, added deathworm via bp, but can't populate list from my inventory. I tried stacks of resources, then I tried an artifact, it's the only thing in my survivor's inventory beyond his implant. Clicking Fill List does nothing.

Am I missing something? Cheers!

put the items in the structure's inventory
