Hahaha no no, for real, i mean it can go underwater, and i can build a vacune to stay safe! Could be nice at least for me, just a suggestion! :)

can this be spawned in water if its deep enough? just wondering because i think it would be cool to add it to my tek base and have just the crystals under the water with my water dinos. also in a further update can you make one with an illuminating crystal underneath? i think that would be pretty awesome :D

Yes can be placed in water

well, i know its something people may want, another idea would be to make some that float a short distance up, then back, this allows you to chain them to get to your sky base...no idea how realistic that is.
just adding ideas, i like brainstorming.
oh, and another thing that might make this mod soar, cut an island in half, make a middle piece, use the half island into an endpiece and BAM its now a "build your own flying island" mod
remember, im just shooting out ideas, these arent my expectations of you... ive been a DM (or GM depending on age, and if you dont know, thats D&D talk for "the guy that controls the narritive") and i flex my creativity by offering ideas to mod authors. it knocks the rust off before i start a campaign.

Personally, i think you can definitly make a lot more different islands / sizes.

But ... When i think of that ... It would be good to make a map that is only composed of floating islands, with only flying dinos (LoL)

Erm would have to be a big map and huge sky box and question is what’s under the floating islands water or void

I think it would be cool to have a translucent island so it looks like a floating base, or made it so it blends into the sky if you want it to, but that is just me.
