map crashes client
Tried your apr19th update, seen you had 'more optimised'.. I'm still crashing within 15-20 seconds of spawning. I can't belive no one else is having problems... I'm thinking its an eyefinity thing (3 monitors). It is strictly this map only, seems weird.

Does it still crash if you lower your video settings?

Good idea, so I played around with the settings, trying different combinations.. If I set shadow quality and shader detail on low, no crashes. Hopefully this gives you clues how to adjust the map or optimise it more? :)

Still not sure what could be causing it, but I'm certain the shadows have nothing to do with it, and unsure what could potentially be so shader-expensive to crash the game either.

I also get crashes only on this map. It seems to always happen near the non-opening blast door just past the opening one near CT spawn. When there is a firefight there or in the small vent shaft that is located above it I always seem to crash. The past few times I've noted that it usually happens a second or so after I get a kill in this area.

and turning down your shader/shadow settings fixes the problem?

Ok, the shader quality doesnt seem to matter. But going from high to medium shadow fixes the problem.

I am able to cause the crash by shooting this bank of computers by the blast door:

Just spawing as CT and unloading a few mags of pistol ammo into while running back and forth does it every time.
Actually it crashed again,but ...

[Go on your Counter Strike Global Offensive folder and go to the cfg folder(specifically: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg) and search for the video.txt file. When there search for a "settings.mem_level" thingie. On it's right should be a number, try setting it to 0. It stopped all the crashes between map loads and skin related bugs. I've read of setting it to 1, 2, or 3 also. who knows what that actually adjusts? do you crash on a map de_Crossfire too?
Choice Zillionaire 25 Jan, 2014 @ 10:06am
No after my edit i never crashed offline, online or between changing maps.
Yes i have de_Crossfire but I never crashed on it even before.I used to crash only on Museum and Thunder.

Setting it to 0 seems perfect.
