Suggestions: Performance and potential items
I'm open to suggestions for any improvements. For now I'd like to focus on the performance of the weapon vs. its material cost. Then I'll be happy to make improvements and a few variations.

Hello, I like the mod, but minigun feels kind of weak. Maybe you could add a version that requires higher grade materials but deals more damage?
Also, you could tweak "real" DPS by adjusting weapon spread - big numbers don't really matter if you can't hit anything 15 meters away from you, that would create a feeling of recoil and increase the "spray-and-pray" feeling that you get when you use a minigun in most shooters.

Yes I was feeling that too as well, I lowered it initially because I felt it was too powerful.

I'll make a secondary "auto-cannon" version which fires more damage at a slower dps.

Glad I could help.
Adding some knockback(something like 10) might help too. If it doesn't kill enemies quickly - it can at least be good at keeping them away.

Didn't consider knockback, thats will work nicely. Initial feedback was that the weapon was too powerful. so I lowered the Dps. Might adjust the accuracy slightly for a more AOE effect.

Well, Minigun is supposed to be powerful. But in terms of game balance, I think that tweaking crafting recipe is probably going to be enough to balance things out. Oh, almost forgot - you should change the level of the Minigun itself. It's currently a level one weapon, so it's way too cheap when used with mods like Weapon Reinforcement, that take level of the weapon into consideration.

Fair enough. I'll probably make the requirements of titanium into durasteel. To be honest I had no idea what weapon levels actually mean since weapons arent something I usually focus on haha.

I'll increase the damage output, change the spread and add some knock back and I'll test it out :)

Good luck. I'm probably going to use my own version of your mod though, since I already made most of these changes myself. Still, thank you for this mod, not only because it's a "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minigun" mod, but also because it got me into starbound modding. I hope this mod of yours gets more attention, continue your good work!
