ADOPTED CHILDREN IN CASTLE VOLKIHAR REDUX IS NOW POSSIBLE!
I highly recommend you try this mod if you have Hearthfires.

Hello folks I recently tested this mod out and was successful with bringing adopted children from a Hearthfires home. It took a few tries and I'll be making notes of where I put the markers.

1.) the front door was the actual front door to the castle
2.) the beds in the small hallway near the tavern in Valerica's Tower.
3.) the chests I used just outside the doors. I believe this is what finally made this mod work. It can't mark dressers as chests (but Im not sure about this).
4.) added a play spot in bathing pool North tower
5.) added play area outside near pond in courtyard
6.) added dummies in east tower top level training room
7.) added chores in torture chamber in valerica's tower
8.) added doll playing spot in church of molag bal
9.) added dining area at bottom of valerica's tower
10.) added a tavern as the heavy traffic area
11.) added coffin on right in throne sleeping chamber for wife

Have you made sure to move to Breezehome first? Because, if you move to any Hearthfires expansion home, you cannot move into Caslte Volkihar Redux mod. That because Hearthfires was never included in the file system for this mod. The work around is

1. Move to White Run into *Breezehome
2. Save the game
3. Boot up Skyrim
4. Save game again
5. Try using the "Multi Adoptions mod on Caslte Volkihar Redux Mod
(you will not be able to move into hearthfires home unless you repeat steps above)

If that doesn't work then do this:
(WARNING: this will delete anything you have stored inside Castle Volkihar Redux mod, and reset all the quests in the mod and start you from scratch brand new this mod like you never stepped foot in this mod before)

1. Move to Whiterun Breezehome
2. Save game and exit Skyrim
3. Disable Castle Volkihar redux in your mod load
4. Log back into Skyrim, try using adoption or marry serena mods.

not working would be easyer if you could update the castle to add 6 beds as ive done what uve described above but its frustrating as i cant get it to work

still says this place is not suitable for my family when you said about the steps above did you mean the breezehome steps or the custom family home steps
