On additional fur patterns for the cats, I've already attempted trying to do that for them, which is not possible without creating more cat species similar to how the Penguin Piracy mod handled species variants. I'm not saying I won't do it; I'm just not planning on doing it anytime soon as it is a lot of work.
Well it's all good and sorry again but hey I love kitties too,
My kitty "Mama Hunteress" likes watching me play, she's a black cat and a chubby one at that. x3
She follows me on walks allot too. lol
But one kitty idea I did have was this...
Quest:
MainQuest-
"Well I'm pulling a Castlevania but it's a good thought and it'll be interesting and it could work."
(If generated towns are gonna be a possibility I'd hope this sounds good but It'll be a quest for finding the bones of the human she called family but we got lost in space and all 206 of his bones are scattered around the galaxy.)
[The bones could be a singular item to avoid that mess lol, but the ending of the quest could be sad with having placing his bones or what ever could be done with them, maybe it'd be a placed item after the quest in a library house, if She'd be an Npc living in it. and it'd Possibly would be a skeleton in a glass case, maybe with clothes perhaps OR Armor... Hmmm That could be a reward too but it'd be the helmet and it'd be reforged into Vel'uuish Armor.]
SideQuest-
-(Could be a hunting quest for even for new additions and maybe some lost artifactes that belong to the Vel'uuish.)
-(Possibly an archive quest for bringing in lore and maybe even physical Vel'uuish books for a neat touch, probably be a double book recipe.)
Npcs-
-(Mama Huntress) [Quest giver, Lives in Libraryhouse.]
Rewards could be:
-Vel'uuishianWishArmor
(A whole set made from the helmet of that lost human, Keeps me mindful.)
-NightWatcher
(A black Greatsword, yellow blade, Same ish' idea as below.)
{Maybe elemental damage or a pounce.}
-NightFollowBlade
(maybe black with a yellow blade with a cat eye crest), [1-handed]
{possible to glow?}
-BedShield
(Looks like a rounded wicker chair, makes a great bed but bett'ur for blocking.),
-PickleFoodJar
(It's a a pickle jar, but it holds dry food. hmmm.), [Storage for fun]
-If any vanity items, it'd have to be a
(Rainbow tie dye baggy beenie that makes a great cape & cowl, even makes you fly!)
[Kinda a funny thought using a beenie to fly, haha Sorry I'm just tired and hungry.. lol]
I hope I haven't upset any of you, I'm only trying to give out some ideas and I apologize for the read. I hope the vibes are good guys cause I'm socially akward myself.
I'm not sure about the quest, but I do like the ideas for the weapons and vanity objects.
As far as the lore of the Vel'uuish goes, they're technologically advanced to the point where their stuff seems like magic or magitech to other species. That's one of the reason's I'm going with a cardboard theme [other than the obvious-cats-love-cardboard thing]. That's also why I think making cat toys as weapons and/or tools would be both hilarious and fitting.
Well thank you for the Reply! :3 and I'm glad you aren't. ^_^
Also yeah, The main Quest might be a little different but all the Side Quest ones hopfully sounded good. :3
and My rooms actually is full of boxes actually and it's cause we've been having to move out cause well we're losing our house and my family doesn't really have a plan so me and my lover have to have a game plan soon...
anyways!
We're okay but I Just keep everything in Cardboardboxes anyways and There is allot of wooden funiture like my computer sits on a wide wooden chest, no joke High tec with woodeness. lol
But hey! A better main quest would be finding the human Alive and it would be a scavanger hunt which there would be ... "KittyPolice" in the towns that'll give you a location of a campsite with goodies in it, and having to return to "KittyPolice" to reclaim a reward for sympathy for the quest... It'd probably end at a high Tier planet too and The human would just be there,
in a house pod on a super dangerous planet, and he'd return to the planet where "HuntressesReadings"-Library would be. <3
I'd Say for him:
"Wow you've come this far out, thank you for coming to my aid, I guess it's time to go back now so let's get outta this place, Unless you need a few things first." *^_^*
[Oh another idea is kinda the retro consoles look has always matched up with Cardboard pretty well, maybe it'd be a theme of some weapons to look into and hell.. make a NES as a vehicle zumba thing, it must fly. haha xD
My playable cat has a bunch of penguins as crewmen.
I've noticed they all have varying hats...and the hats sit at the cat's head height, and are the right size.
So if you're looking for cat hats, I'd suggest looking into the penguin ones. Those might be easier to convert somehow, since I think they are already the right size and positioned (at least on penguins) at the right height.
That's actually what I'm planning on using as a base. I've already spoken to Manic about using some of theirs too. They do seem to be the right size, though. I just have to figure out how I'm going to make them work. I hope I don't have to re-do the body sprite and create a custom head sprite, but that may be exactly what would have to be done...
In any case, the penguin movements are very different from the cat movements, so I'd have to somehow convert and re-position them anyways. It's not the most important thing on my to-do list, though, since it will be difficult and time-consuming for me to attempt.
Edit: Ha, yeah. Despite both being the same height, somehow the Penguin Piracy leg items still ended up way above Felix's head. Oh well.
I still enjoy the purple space cat, so thank you for that. :)
More color variety is always a good thing.
Eventually, I'm planning on trying to use some of the PP hat sprites for the cats. I also want to try and make a little cape for them, but I'm still not sure exactly how I'd go about doing that.
