The button above your player mat will pack your character neatly up into it's box (it's a right-click in the latest version of the mod). Then just move the box off to the side. Note: before you retire, you should sell all your items back to the shop and spend the money on enhancements since anyone playing that character again will have to revert to starting gold for their level.
Hitting the "Tab" key will point to your current mouse location for other players to see (with an audio ping).
The keyboard 1-9 buttons will draw that many cards off the top of a stack (your discard pile for example).
The numpad 1 & 2 buttons will place the currently highlighted card into your active card slots.
Numpad 3 button will draw from the monster deck.
Numpad 7-9 will change the background image/color.
Some players have graphics issues when a new room is revealed, but logging out and back in usually fixes it.
To help with load times, my personal preference is to put all unused items into the big Gloomhaven Box and leave the shop cards stacked.
Any other questions just ask! I love this game!
