OFFICAL: Super Simple Guide to Fixing Horn Clipping
PLEASE read all of this and any comments on this discussion before you ask questions.
A big complaint we've been getting for Trollbound is that the horns clip really poorly. Unfortunately, with the variety of hairstyles there are, it's impossible for all horns to look properly clipped with every hair- Chahut's horns were removed entirely because they didn't clip right at all with any. Horns are designed in-mod mostly as how they'd look on a bald character because floating horns look even weirder than ones that overlay the hair badly. It is impossible in-engine to have horns change their appearance depending on what hair is being used.
Linked below is a .zip of a template mod you can use to manually fix your own specific combination of horn and hairstyle to work properly, via patching over the base mod. There are two versions, one for the vanilla hairstyles and one for the Cutebound ones. You can mix and match if you want, it just overwrites the hairstyles of the base mod into looking like whichever version you chose. The template clipping fixer can be added and removed at any time, as they are just images.

Just unzip it and then install it just as you would with any other non-Steam mod (look that up if you don't know how but it's really easy). Open the mod's folder and you'll find that it contains a "humanoid" folder and a _metadata file. Ignore the metadata file and open the "humanoid" and then the "tirastrolls" folder. That folder will have "horns" and "hair" folders. Any changes you make to images in this file will overwrite the appearance of that horn or hairstyle as long as you have the template mod installed.
You will need an image editing program which supports layers and transparency, like paint.net. It's free.
Just edit the horn you are using so that it clips properly with the hair you're using and save it. If you've done everything right then shazam, you're done here. Though you may want to delete any hair or horn styles you don't think you'll ever use, to trim down loading times slightly.
