A Review, Plus Gameplay Recommendations
TLDR: Play this map, but get ready to get your ♥♥♥ kicked.

This map is ♥♥♥♥ing aggravating to play, and that's why it's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good.

You certainly get the D-Day experience out of this map, in that you get your ♥♥♥ KICKED as the Allies, and that's just to say the least. I actually had to use slow motion quite a bit in order to advance in some areas, and I absolutely hate using slow motion because it feels so cheap.
The allied (and enemy, I guess) AI can be kind of a pain in the ♥♥♥ to deal with, being unable to properly push the objectives and essentially acting as cannon fodder. It ends up making you feel like the only one who's really doing any work, in a battle that was won by extreme teamwork...
Not to mention the countless invisible walls that block bullets, making it hard to know exactly when you're going to land a hit when firing at weird angles.

But, honestly, the hassle is worth it. It feels like a D-Day scenario when you're playing it. You know how with most Workshop maps, you get that feeling where you enjoy a map for 10 minutes but then it gets old and you feel very bored? This doesn't have that.
The Germans inside the bunkers are almost always firing the MG-42s, and unlike most maps, there's some background ambient noise that features gunshots and wind effects, maybe even some yelling, but it could have just been my imagination.
In other words, there's never a quiet or dull moment on this map. You always feel like there's action going on, you always feel like you're fighting an uphill battle. It's honestly quite immersive, even with the cartoonish Ravenfield aesthetic.

I recommend you give the map a try.
It's extremely difficult, but it provides an experience, which not many other maps do.

Gameplay recommendations:

DIFFICULTY: Medium. I normally play on hard, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was too much.
MODE: Battallions, though this is a personal preference of mine.
BOTS: 100
POWER SHIFT: About an inch into the favor of Red Team (the Germans). This will give them slightly more manpower compared to the Allies, but that also means they'll have less men to kill while you storm the beach, which means you'll have more reinforcements for later on once you start the siege the base itself.
SPAWN TIMER: 25 seconds or more. You won't be spawning nearly as often, but if you want to actually capture a ♥♥♥♥ing point, this is crucial. You need to limit the amount of times the Germans spawn on the point you're trying to capture as much as possible. You don't want to face three squads of Nazis after you just got done killing three squads before them.
GAME LENGTH: Epic. Trust me. You'll need as many reinforcements as you can get.
WEAPONS/EQUIPMENT:
-Download "RavenWeaponPack" here on the Steam Workshop for Ravenfield. This adds a few WW2 weapons that you'll probably want. Also download the Mauser C96 mod, the Luger P08 mod, and the "M1911[PACK]" mod.
-Allow the AI to use the Quicksilver, the Greaser, the Thompson (without a drum magazine, unless you want that), and possibly the "M1 Garret", though this is a rather powerful weapon. DO NOT LET THEM USE THE GEWEHR 98. Trust me. Give the AI access to the Mauser pistol and the Luger, as well as the M1911s. The 1911s will have two-tone finishes and night sights, but they're well balanced and, in the end, are still M1911s.
-Allow the AI to use Health Packs and Ammo Bags. Don't let them use melee weapons. You'll cry when you get to The Staircase Of Everlasting Doom.

If you follow all of these gameplay recommendations, you should have a somewhat authentic experience. The Nazis will be carrying Thompsons and Greasers, the Americans will be carrying Lugers, nobody will be carrying bolt-action rifles, and no AI will be allowed to throw explosives, but I said "somewhat" for a reason lmao. Some things can't be adjusted in Ravenfield yet, such as team-specific loadouts (though this appears to be coming soon according to the Roadmap), and for gameplay purposes, overpowered one-shot kill weapons like bolt-actions and grenades are excluded... Regardless, you should have some fun. Or get very frustrated.

...Have fun!

I think the only thing i would recommend would be the one thing I have seen: ALLOW US TO USE OUR OWN SKINS. No offense intended to the modder but there are far better WW2 skins out there, i mean WAY better. That isnt to say your skins suck, its just a matter of the other ones are actually historically accurate down to the shoulder patches and boots.
