Actually in Red Alert 1, there were Scout Ants and Warrior Ants, a bit like in your mod with basic weaker ants and tougher soldier ones.
But there were also Fire Ants (throwing-up flames (actually a sort of fireball in RA1)), and Tesla Ants (with an electric attack). I've checked their stats and both have less health than Warriors, and even slightly less than Scouts. They also had to stop moving to attack.
There was also a Queen Ant ofc, treated like a building which produced energy (=> would translate as cash generation) with an electric attack too, as well as larvaes looking like preMoth's cocoon but smallers.
Do what you want/can from these informations :D
If you check the RMT and Groud War mods, they share a same nice "Barracks" model which fits with the vanilla buildings.
Along with your infantry style (as seen with turtles and mana institute), I really think we could have a great Infantry mode here.
As for the units themselves, here what we could think of at least: Riflemen, AT, Missile, AA, Mortar, Flame, Shock, Laser, Sniper, Jetpack, Swimmer, Engineer+Medic, etc.
I got something special coming up in a few minutes that fits with the main game but with a twist. There is a very cool infantry unit in it.
I think that a dedicated cheap casern would be better. Here's what I have in mind.

However I don't doubt armed pickups/trucks would render nicely with your skills.
I love your "Special weapon" unit btw, although you should rename it to Walker imo.
Some ideas to expand the Infantry line:
- Guns pushed/pulled by infantries: anti-tank cannon/railgun, anti-air flak, artillery, etc.
- Cyborgs, one with minigun (shoot ground), one with laser (shoot ground/air).
- Mobile Suits: Zakus as standard MS, Gundam as an experimental MS. ;)
I barely have any knowledge over the Alien series/lore, but shouldn't the Queen be able to make hive/nest/eggs? Kinda like your Mothra, it may create stuffs for cheaper maybe.
Also after checking, I found flying xenomorphs do exist outside of the mainstream materials...
- "Flying Drones", self-explanatory
- "Flying Queen", would be a costlier way to scrap the building and get a Queen, flying
- "Alien Dragon", it just seems to be a large flying alien, not sure if it's worth being created
Then of course you could think about a flying version for Runners and Warriors too.
They would all melee-hit ground and air I guess (would that be modable?).
I kind of like the laser gatling cyborg idea. I might do that if i figure out how the minigun mech works. I will try to come up with heavy equipment for infantry. I would probably need a tech 3 then, i will have to change the Finests name since tech 3 would be even better.
