Dead Space Factions and Extras
IF YOU TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE, PLEASE READ EVERYTHING I'M ABOUT TO SAY AT LEAST ONCE OVER TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO REDO ANYTHING, please and thankyou!


___Factions___

- Necromorphs:

1. Suggestion - maybe add like a decay timer for a body until it disappears or something to prevent lag? And not only that (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but I think once the body has been decaying for some time that it should just be a normal Necromorph with no boosts... If that's too much to ask, just remove the body after a certain period of time if possible but make sure to add it as a resource to what I will describe as the "Flesh Pool." The reason why we need bodies is so that the unit "Infector" can reach the body and turn it into a fresh host like from the original Dead Space games which are faster, have black and reddish-charred looking skin (which can also change color based on your team would be an interesting idea, or maybe go above and beyond and do that for all Necromorphs for like... Wherever you'd see red on a Necromorph in the actual dead space games and you're making a sprite, maybe you can change it to the team's color instead!), and maybe a defense boost which would encourage players to get fresh bodies AND be able to add to like a resource I'd like to call the "Flesh Pool" and you can summon more deadly creatures from that if it makes it easier on you... Also, it'd be cool to see the Marker as a main base of operations like, come on, it'd make perfect sense! Also, don't worry about a necromorph attacking an enemy and killing it to be resurrected... Just let the Infectors handle that job just like the actual game!

2. So another Suggestion for the Necromorphs - Add powers like "Corruption of the Mind" allowing the Necromorph player or ai to drive units of an enemy (even for other necromorphs too but add a good resilience factor since it'd be a Necromorph on Necromorph encounter) crazy and following YOUR commands. That'd be fun! But WARNING, do NOT allow this to be instant in effect (or please try not to let it be...). You need for there to be an "Insanity" and/or "Sane" meter set so when a certain point is met with a certain unit, or a bunch depending on how you go about it like... For example, the original game of Dead Space - There are actions which a unit can kill other friendly units of that said player or ai that you wish to control and use for your own gain. So... Other actions may include stuff like sabotaging a base (depending on unit type or skill level), luring units (based charisma), suicidal tendencies (insanity meter has gone so far up that this person has lost it, allowing you to do what's needed to be done for the sake of the Marker...), drawing symbols of the marker (Which maybe can drive up the insanity meter when others come near or into contact with these said symbols depending on how many are in the area, requires a crafting or build skill allowing you to place a symbol like a building) and maybe other stuff too...

3. Add the cultists from Unitology as a builder and resource gatherer. Maybe there can also be different types of cultists at that too, such as the builder from before AND maybe there can be High Unholy Prophets that can convert both your units and enemy units into doing the bidding of the Marker for adding onto units of your own (from your enemies' forces) or you can just send everyone to the marker to be slaughtered and turned in the "Flesh Pool" resource...

4. All units from the Marker (especially the Unitoligists aka the "Cultists") should be more on the fast side in speed, but a little weaker in endurance than any of the average soldiers you'd see on the EDF, Survivors, or Aliens that I'll explain more later on...

5. For building ideas other than just having the Marker as the main base of operations being - Ok, I know this may sound crazy but what if the same sort of art style/pattern or whatever you see designed on the marker is also on just regular Dead Space buildings? Or maybe that can be temporary... Up to you but I'd keep them.

6. Defense buildings - Remember that weird wall thing from Dead Space? The one in the halls that like shoots out some weird armor-piercing tentacles? Well that can be a start but instead of it being placed on a wall like it normally would, just have it on the ground attacking any enemy that comes near it with its' tentacles. Also, maybe add something like a spore launcher that hits both air and ground...

7. Adding Vents: So vents can be used as a sort of "Tunnel System" for normal-sized Necromorphs (or maybe even a big sized vent if you want it to be as a whole structure which would allow almost if not all variants of Necromorphs to use the Vents to get anywhere around the map) would be nice.



- Earth Defense Force:

1. Suggestion - Which can be more based on your "Mercenaries" mod which could be cool based on what I read where you can pay your units to get the job done.

2. Also for the colors on buildings and units, primary being white as seen on the military guys from Dead Space with the secondary being the team's color to whatever team you are would be cool.

3. I also think that the military ground units should be very strong in endurance and power, but sorta slow in speed and the opposite goes (more or less) for any air/space type of vehicles.

4. EDF should be only equipped with the finest weapons, armors and vehicles at their disposal as well...



- Survivors/Resistance Force (Ok I sorta am making this one up)

1. Now, the fun thing to start with is that for the survivors, they basically start of with a resource I'd like to call "Scrap" or whatever that Junk type of resource-currency it was from Dead Space (Bolts?) but anyways, so they kind of are just a Faction that are more heavily a "Scavenger" type. What they can do is pick up "scrap" from enemy bodies and structures or even recover scrap from their own fallen comrades or destroyed buildings to remake it into a reusable source that can be instrumented to construct various weapons, buildings and vehicles of both land and air types.

2. For this faction, I believe maybe stripes or adding a sort of unique touch to the paint jobs that would be on the different structures and units would be cool. Something that would make them, stand out you know?

3. Also, maybe this faction can have like stolen EDF stuff like weapons, armor or maybe even vehicles (less on the vehicles though and more on the weapons and armor) as a tech you can research or something.

4. Different Bronze (or was it copper?) Armor Varients - I think that the builders for this faction should have little to no armor and are armed with the 3-way pistol from the original Dead Space game, and same for the units that are just basic and starting out but instead they have like Pulse Rifles and as the round goes on (in Rusted Warfare terms), maybe added better weapons and armor variants for the units such as the Flamethrower or anything else that is Dead Space related...



- Aliens, from the acclaimed Home-World of Planet "Tau Volantis" (W.I.P. Idea)

1. Ever seen Aliens vs Predator? Well, I think for these type of Aliens, their stats should be perhaps combined with the Aliens and Predators themselves! Now now, at the moment, I do NOT know too much about this race so I sorta lack the idea and understanding as you'll read in the note at the end of all of this. So, these Aliens should NOT be parasitic in any way. BUT, their stats should be strong in endurance, somewhat lethal in attack, and fast enough to where they can catch an EDF soldier in time but not quite so much for a Survivor/Resistance member... And definitely not nearly as fast as a freshly made Necromorph!

2. I think for buildings, maybe you can take Mass Effect's in-general Alien styled buildings and make them combined in an effort to make something extremely unique to look at and effective on the battlefield.

3. The Alien Faction can have techs such as having Auto Plasma Turrets that shoots blue rays or something... Techs that also allow for you to get bigger, stronger and maybe even faster units as well.

4. This race for now can be more reliant on the use of vehicles of air and land for mid/late game use. I think some good vehicles to use as a reference of making your own uniquely styled creation would be from the Reapers of Mass Effect. I think that would look Amazing! Just less... Evil looking, and more... Star Craft 2's Protoss-styled type of Vehicles if you get what I'm saying here... Cause, I'm trying to match a good idea style for the Aliens since they're not necessarily "Evil" if I may say.

5. Maybe give the Aliens visibly seen armor for certain units and let the basic ones be more of the naked (without any armor) front-line type of troop.

6. Ok, so remember Star Craft 2 being mentioned? I think that the probe for Star Craft 2 from the Protoss, should be recreated and made for this Alien race as a builder/worker/gatherer unit.



In Game Note: If possible at all, add alt fires to all the Dead Space weapons like how the game did... That'd be sick!



Personal Note: Keep in mind, I only beat the first Dead Space so far and played some of Dead Space 2 and I own Dead Space 3 on xbox as well but haven't gotten to them just yet... but I'm still very open to suggestions from anyone that would like to keep this page "Immersive" and fun.
