MOD SUGGESTIONS
Post any ideas for mods that you have but can't make.
I'll do it if I feel like it's possible with my current knowledge of modding.
If it's already a mod I'll link it to you.
Also because I don't use FU please no requests for that adding stuff to that mod.

Well I know one thing is that people might enjoy a reliable method for healing their crewmates, 'cause we can't see their health... and that's another thought, but I don't know how anyone would sort out a way to show crewmember health. I don't know if it's possible to do up something like a handheld device that displays it.

Another fun idea might be a mod that adds in a version of the Sonic Sphere that does damage when you collide with enemies, like Sonic the Hedgehog's Spindash. Maybe the amount could be somehow improved by one's equipment bonuses.

Oh, another thought I had in mind is cases like people playing as a harpy or a dragon or whatever (or just anything with wings), and... well a sort of multi-jump tech that doesn't have that energy burst from below would be nice. I know there's at least that /sbg/ mod on the Chucklefish forum that has proper harpies, and they'd work perfectly with such a thing. Also, if you would think it'd be too much to have like.... infinite air jumps, you could try to attach an energy cost per jump. Optionally, you could look into some other mods to figure out how to create and attach a gliding effect so people don't kill themselves if they run out of energy while up high, but I suppose they should learn to manage their energy, too, and plan accordingly.

...If it's possible to figure out an upgrade like a paint tool equivalent to the Dye Station mod, that might be interesting as well...

Ah, another thing, what would you think of, say.......... another style of 'flag' in the form of a little beacon thing? Here's a sprite you could use, too.

A tiny little out-of-the-way thing leaving tons of room for everything else one might want to build. Also might match someone's style. More options are always nice, after all.

That site might inspire some additional ideas, too, who knows. SS13's a neat little game with a lot of stuff in it, and a few different builds, so other sites might have more things.

as for the difficulty of making these mods, the easiest would be the invisible jumps as its just a simple retexture, the second easiest would be the flag beacon thing, as it is bacically a retexture of the flag, the next easiest might be the infinijump tech seeing as the multi-jump script has a jumps value not sure if I could make it take energy though, after that the damaging sonic sphere the problem with it is if I were to just make the spheres hurtbox extend about 1 block out from the sphere then you may still get hit by it anyways and I have no experience with hurboxes either, and finally the crewmember healing/healthbar I have no idea how I could do this at all.
I'll try them all seeing as I have nothing else to do tonight.

Could be two techs, maybe a second variant mod... but it's not like two styles of the same thing in one mod are gonna be taking up that much space in the tech list.
Quick thing for the telport beacons, would the recipe be good if it was 5 iron bars and 3 or 5 core fragments? Just to allow it to be obtainable early game similar to the flags.

Currently every thing that I feel like is possible for me to do is done.
This includes: The warp beacon flag thing (1x4 blocks) craftable with 5 iron bars and 3 core fragments with empty hands (recipe is learned after picking up 1 core fragment) and the invisible jumps. I kinda went overboard with the jump techs here, making 4 new techs: an infinite jump(24chips), an invisible infinite jump(24chips), a invisible double jump with flapping sounds(8chips) and an invisible infinite jump with flapping noises(24chips).
Currently the only way to obtain these techs is with commands but once I fiqure out that part it will be updated.
I will release it later today (hopefully) as an assorted mods pack alongside some of my previously unreleased mods. Ill link it here when its up.

The mod is out now but steam is still processing it being added so it should appear within the next 10 minutes

so, I have seen a few images on pintrest (yes, I am that kind of persion) of massive creatures. So my idea is to make the game feel more like a chalange by adding Large (not inflaited) beasts, make them your own thing, but new beasts is my idea. Think of the beasts in monster hunter (Or any other game with a wide selection of beast sizes). also my spelling sucks so please don't mind my mistakes.

That is a great idea but the only problem I have is animating sprites takes forever, so if it happens it will take a really long time. But really why havent I seen a mod that does this already?

Perhaps a reskin on the Rail Tram that makes it look like an actual Tram or Trolley or Streetcar.

1:a jumping spider people mod or a mole cricket people mod
2:an eyeball sun mod
How about make a random invasion where giant dragons or even just regular dragons appear out of nowhere, and do what dragons do, sort of how the invasions are in terraria. And possibly, during the invasion, you cant escape the invasion by leaving the planet.

Unless you could help with the scripting / sprinting this is Completly possible, but as of now my skill with Lua and patience for animation isn't that good.
I'll keep it in mind if one day I could do that though!

Sounds fairly original, but just remember mods like these take a really long time to make.
Mostly because of animation.
