The challenge of a Tripedal is the build itself more than anything else. Balance is what I would guess is the biggest factor.
Unless you are asking me to build a Tripedal mech?
A Concept could be something like This[www.bing.com]
And, it could be called... wait for it...
The Stool!
And, good point on the dampeners!
Also, would it be possible to set up a "crouch" feature that allows mechs to bend down to allow easy pilot access?
Yes! As long as the legs of the mech are connected to the same grid (subgrid's included). The programming block just needs access through the grid to the legs it will be controlling
As for the crouching feature, that might get a little tricky. This script is meant to make all types of mechs walk, but I imagine that different types of mechs would crouch in different ways so that makes it a little more difficult. I would be happy to give it a shot, if you wanted to collab and test it out? Do you have a mech I could try it with?
No rush from my end, but whenever you are ready I would be happy to help. I will update the script shortly and add to the guide, but I don't have an example mech that would do well with a crouch so I would need yours to fully test it :).
The Liger can utilize it! It doesn't get low enough for getting in w/o a jetpack, but enough to show the feature. The feature will be added to the script/guide shortly
You can see it used in the video here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1334284038
I literally had this thought last night when scrolling through YT and seeing those were added
I'll poke around a bit this weekend and follow up with you. Thanks for the comment!
Check out the new update and let me know what you think!
I don't have any great example builds, but I'd love to see any you come up with
I can definitely look into it!
Just for clarification, does it fit your use-case to include the option of "single" or "double" to the ignore configuration? Essentially ignoring that block on either it's single or double action?
As for the "delay" tag I am not sure I follow what you mean?
There is a configurable delay for double actions regarding timing, would it help to modify those to achieve the delay?
