- Map is based 5-10 Years after the 7 Hour War on Earth, so it clearly isn't just a teleporter connected to the Human dimension in one area in Xen there's obviously more connected to more Dimensions as the Combine expanded, this area is only based in one of these expanded areas and it happens to be connected to the Human's Dimension.

- The Architecture in the Prison is mostly somewhat based for humans due to the fact that the Prison is specifically for Humans and Enslaved Vortigaunt Biotics under Permanent Off-World Relocation.

- The Architecture is 100% Combine because there is hardly any Exteriors for Xen buildings that aren't carved out hills and random technology, and considering that Xen factories are mostly underground, and if they aren't, then we haven't seen any proper official exterior of a Xen factory.

- There's a Calabi-Yai model in Xen because the theory is that some Scientists and Engineers (Not Eli, Judith, Kliener and Alyx.) that assisted on it, had created the one here, cause i'm almost certain that such a feat would require more than just four to five people.

- There's a mini-teleporter inside the Combine Hanger because they are also researching Uni-teleportation aswell, note it's connected up with a Xen Crystal and the fact that the Prison is to house Scientists involved with this field to convert them to the Combine side.

The map is based upon the area of which was called Horithoi by the Enslaved Vortigaunts, a previously undiscovered area by the Combine when they first began their assault upon the expansive dimension of Xen. Horithoi - meaning Blank Connection in the Human tounge, is a vast area which contains large super islands that have many sub-islands orbiting around them. The distancing between super islands is immense, to the point where other super islands seem to be only simple dots which is where the name derives from, the area of which seems Blank from the surroundings, however having a connection with other islands to categorize it as an expanisve area of Xen.

Before the Combine Assault on Xen, these super islands where an excellent site for Militaristic Xen Factories, and were a major complexes for creating Alien Grunts in massive amounts - There may even be some still dormant laid in these Factories due to immense production. These Xen Factories were also involved with the creation of Advanced Biotechnological Weaponry that were originally to be used in the Invasion of Black Mesa, but was halted when the Nihilanth was defeated and shook the Dimension's future.

When the Combine heard of the area's existance they seemed to recognise the usefulness of the super-islands to place their huge monolithic buildings upon these islands. Using a slow expansion method to take over the Super islands for themselves. A few Citadels were placed in this area to start their expansion upon Horithoi, the Combine also placed another smaller but still huge building which is entirely for multi-dimensional teleportation, in this case, the huge teleporter is connected to another teleporter stationed on Earth, specifically City 68 (Manchester) - A recently conquered area by the Combine at the timeline of this map, the sole purpose of transporting Political Prisoners, Scientists, Engineers, Rebellious Citizens or Unfortunate innocents in a process known as Permanent Off-World Relocation. These types of people are transported to a nearby prison, stationed upon a sub-island closest to the Huge Teleporter in hopes to convert these useful people to the Combine's way so that they may be benefited for their skills back on their occupied homeworld.
As the Combine expand throughout Horithoi - More Citadels will be placed on Super-islands and more Super-Teleporters will be placed aswell, connecting to more Dimensions for access of more troops and prisoners, allowing for quicker and effective expansion throughout the desolate Blank Connection.

With the Citadels occupying these gigantic Islands, the underground complexes of the Combine encounter old Militartistic Xen factories with dormant Alien Grunts, utilizing and researching their process of how they are created, it is entirely possible that the Combine may continue the Artificial creation of Alien Grunts when a Citadel is placed upon a Super island which contains a Xen Factory complex, with some type of Synthetic twist, as is usual with the Combine's nature as a Multi-Dimensional Empire.

The Resistance against the Combine in Xen are simply a group cobbled together and using infiltration instead of fully encountering the Combine in combat. The Resistance have a hard time coping with the strange and unconventional nature of Xen however, the Scientists that are sent to the Prison allow the Resistance to improve their technology, most notably - Researching into the teleportation technology to gain more of a hold against the Combine, allowing for the Resistance to spread out across the dimension.

Some Resistance Scientists and Engineers who assisted in the Calabi-Yai model for Uni-Teleportation were captured and sent to the Xen Prison, only to escape and create their own model which used Black Mesa's many dormat satellites as a sling-shot from the Dimension, pratically reversing the Xen Relay effect which was what the Calabi-Yai models on Earth had used Xen for before the Humans on Earth decided to use a Modulator to mimic the Xen Relay Device. This technique improved the efficiency of the Teleporation.

The Resistance of Xen against the Combine Prison reside within an Abandoned Xen Factory which is located far from the Horithoi area to avoid any contact with the Combine and their conventional use of vehicles. The Resistance Scientists managed to manipulate the Co-ordinates of a rotating Xen Teleport rotating at the top of the Factory - This connects to the garbage disposal unit in the Prison and Citizens and Combine unknowningly transport building materials and sometimes even discarded Rations to the Xen factory, maybe even Resistance members can transport benefits to their comrades a few AUs away.
