While having several connected small ships you can get a bit of drag on your larger vessel.
Maybe horisontal/vertical auto-level feature would be handy for full auto pilot)

If inertia dampeners on the connected ships are on, they would interfere. But I haven't seen that with them off. Does that happen to you?

I'll consider the auto leveling idea. It could be an extra feature you could turn on. Although this script is not intended to be auto pilot. Hence the name.

What about an "auto-orbit" script- a script that will determine possible degrees to launch at what speed.
Just feed it the planet's gravity falloff ratio (usually 7), its current gravity, and its radius.
would be great if yu could set the script to use actual "downwards" thrusters from cockpit perspective, because at least for me, i dont really like this taking of like a rocket idea... but even though great work!! props are going out to you ;)
P.S.: i am not a programmer of scripts myself but i think it should be possible to alter the relative direction of the used thrusters to the cockpits direction quite easyly... but i dont know that much about that stuff

You already can! :)

In custom data of the programmable block you'll find the settings. There's a setting called something along the lines of "Use bottom instead of read thrusters". Change that from no to yes and you're good to go!

Edit: This setting has been changed since this answer was posted. Its now called Select thrusters and you have the options Auto, Rear, or Bottom. Auto chooses the side with the most thrust (it does not take thruster type into consideration).

nice!! thx man good work ;)

Thanks for the great script, but is there a way to limit the maximum amount of thrust override? I have been using this script as a Cruise control for a semi-automated miner.
I set the target speed as low as it can go, and it does the job!

However whilst the ship is actually mining it cant move as fast as the target speed, so it maxes out thrust override. Is this a feature already and I have just missed it?

I had quite few smooth liftoffs with this thing so far but i wonder: Is it possible to have this script prioritize a certain thruster type while calculating the override? I noticed that when i put some atmo thruster support on my rockets, all overrides "share equally".

Hello, first of all, thanks for this script.

My suggestion is this, could you implement a speed control?

From the Toolbar you can increase or decrease the desired speed and it is displayed on the screen, as in this ship https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1138662199

Thank you very much.

Nevermind, i don't think turning the atmospheric thruster off would do much. However, would it be possible to make thrusters have priority? I noticed that ions and atmospherics aren't used to their full advantage when hydrogen is on.

I totally agree on thruster priority, I've had it on my future plans list for a while but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Can the desired altitude be set here ? We are using this in our "space lift" and works great :D
But the lift would be too high to 0 grav :D

That's a good idea! I've actually been working on the script the last couple of days to make it even more space-lift worthy.
I'll see if I can make this work.

The new update has just come out with cockpit and other block lcd's now being usable, are their plans to add support for this in future?

Yes, definitely. But I might update Fancy Flight Info first.
