Blast doors and Insulation
I was wondering how the new doors act as insulation compared to the existing doors.

I want to upgrade all the large doorways in my base to the big blast doors (including in my cooled rooms), some of them have double layered doors, I was just wondering if the blast doors acted the same as if I had two layers of doors, or just one?

After some testing, I can confirm that the 2x3 layer doors act like a single door (as you'd think) so the the heat quickly escapes my cooled rooms, I've fixed this by placing 2 layers of the smaller version instead.

It would be awesome if the big doors insulated based on their size. Until then, two smaller doors it is.

No worries! As soon as I got it I was curious and wanted to change all my double layered doors, which are on all doors leading to outside, as well as to my freezer, to the bigger one, however the "people getting stuck between 2 sets of doors" seems to be a lot more prominent with the blast doors, could just be coincidence, it can be a little annoying at times having to wait for another colonist to open it, or draft someone nearby and force them through the doorway

You don't need to double door everything if the first accessible room is enclosed. The first room in my mountain bases is always an access corridor or large room for caravans/quick item storage etc, and that room acts as the temperature buffer. All walls are also double walled.

Hmm I see, I have my kitchen (which is also my freezer) directly beside my main gathering/eating area, temperatures inside the freezer being -20C and the main base temperature being 15C or above, so I don't really have room for a temperature buffer other than using 2 doorways in the current layout
