Here is where people can discuss the balance/possible changes to both mod to accomodate each others. I will point out the main issues first where community insight and opinions will be appreciated

Q1 : Should Fallen Weaponry be striaght upgrade to the highest tier of the ESC, or offers alternative power (Fires faster, lower range etc.)

Q2 : What to do with resized XL weapons, do I get rid of them, buffs them to be even better than the best L-sized of their types, or make them have niche application?

Q3 : Should I keep the current ESC systems where FE tech can be beaten by normal tech (T6 shield atm is equal to DM deflector) or should I buff FE tech to be superior to others?

I will offer possible methods on each point.

A1 : Possibly a combination of both, depending on how good/op the weapons are (This is the easiest part of them all)

A2 : My plan atm is to rename the description of Resized XL weapon, so that instead of shrinking the weapons, we are simply advanced enough to put XL Tachyon Lance on L slot, but at the costs of much much higher energy consumption and same range as normal L-sized weapon.

AKA: Only slightly lower damage than XL, but eats more energy than an actual XL, lower range.

A3 : My plan is to make it so any Dark Matter-related techs will keep the current ratio to what ESC established. But any Dark Matter-related tech used on FE ships will buff them to be either comparable to the best ESC component, or simply superior.

The reason being FE ships are designed specifically to work with Dark Matter Tech, so using DM Tech on a DM ship will naturally make them perform better than on other kinds of techs.

I like the idea of having FE weapons having an alternate strength compared to the highest ESC weapons, it'll reflect the advantages and disadvantages of using Dark Matter technology.

I'd say FE tech should at least match ESC tech at the minimum, but some of the FE tech should be debatably more powerful depending on your needs.

Btw, the numbers are not final, atm priority is to just make Fallen Weaponry stuffs at the very least better than final ESC tier first.

I also learned that missiles cannot have shields lul (Psi Missile are supposed to be tougher, I set it to 80 hull 40 shields, but shield did not work)

@Kolyn Can you provide me with images of your fallen weaponry that do not have the roman numbers? It feels weird that a weapon with III is potentially stronger than V.

Should I keep resized XL-weapon to vanilla tech, or upgrade it to use the T4 version of ESC?

Aka do we want L-sized normal Tachyon Lance or L-sized Hypercharged Tachyon Lance?

Pretty much all Fallen Weaponry that have the numbers, since with this patch, they become alternative options and not upgrades, so numbers are no longer necessary.
