I'd care if I were paying like 8 dollars for a skin whose body barely changes. And the alternative, 6 dollars for a helmet.
Between this (that I really do hope gets put thru) and the fact they reworked her abilities recently and are apparently bringing a prime version of her along next, it's been long over due she gets some attention and it's nice to see it finally come about
Also, it would be nice to see some more ornamentation to the arm blade-extensions, but maybe that's just the light position and glare? I still feel like some bolder shading/shadowing/linework and more of it would be nicer on the arm blades. Keeping with the suit of armor theme, maybe some angle-y ornamentation like the wrist part of the gauntlet on this historical armor[www.medievaltymes.com] would look cool? Or more wing-evocative ornamentation like you did on the hip and chest shiny parts? I really like the ornamentation on the hip/thigh and chest shiny sections that are evocative of feathers. Oh, it could also be cool if you have the energy color bleed down into the linework/ornamentation along the lines if you go with the angle-y/feather-evoking style of ornamentation.
Just googled 'ancient nordic art' and read a little of the wikipedia article on the 'valkyrie' in norse mythology. It could be cool to hint at how the valkyrie had a sinister and darker side in the skin somehow. Also I get now how you're trying to evoke the ancient nordic art in some of the ornamentation on the shiny parts. I really like that. I would like it even more if there was more of a pattern to the ornamentation rather than random-ish looking weave. From the wikipedia page on viking art, I see where the random-ish weave inspiration is coming from, and I love that you seem to be taking inspiration from ancient nordic art. My personal opinion is that the random-ish weave stuff looks better when there is more space, or the randomish weave is part of a larger picture. I feel like patterns look better for ornamentation in smaller areas.
From the front 45 degree angle, it looks like the shoulder shiny part evokes a bird of prey with the green glowing eye with ornamentation work around the edge. From the back 45 degree angle, the corresponding eye/glowey-bit for the bird of prey look isn't there. I feel like that could be a cool thing to go for on the shoulder.
Are custom animations in helmets a thing? Because it would be SICK, just DISGUSTING, if you could make the helmet wings kind of flare and glow during aim glide and/or sprinting. But I'm guessing custom animations aren't a thing for Tennogen T^T
Oh, this is kind of more Gundam/mecha theme than suit of armor theme, but the energy color sections on the arm and leg extension bits make me think that a 'thruster' look to those areas would be really cool. Then it would look pretty awesome to try to give her upper back a jet-pack thruster look too.
I feel like I personal-taste-dumped way too much here. Maybe I should have made a new post. Maybe I shouldn't have given so much feedback. Your skin inspired me. One of my pet fantasies in Warframe is to pretend I'm an AC-130, like in CoD4, with the Staticor as my 40mm cannon, and the Zarr as my 105mm, or the Soma Prime as the 25mm and then the Staticor charge shot is the 105mm. The Staticor was actually the first weapon I ever forma'd because of this, and Zephyr really made the whole loitering-gunship fantasy come true for me with her extended aim-glide and slow-fall. What I'm saying is, I feel a strong emotional connection to Zephyr, and your amazing work with this skin and helmet and syandana inspired me, and I hope my feelings came through here, and I hope that those feelings inspire you in your work, on any skin. Thanks again for this and all your work.
tl;dr - I really like this. I would like it even more if the arms were arms and the extension bits looked separate, and if the ornamentation was easier to see, and if the ornamentation had a more distinct pattern in certain areas, and if the shoulders had a bird-of-prey-with-glowey-eyes thing going on. Even my tl;dr was long; sorry "<_<
