Might be worth delaying
Trust me, I really want to see this in game. But it might be worth delaying until we get our first 2 handed katana, as shown in the latest devstream, and then launching this as a skin for that.

Then again, this could be a nice time filler for those who just can't wait for that badass thing.

It's really not, because they're not allowing skins to any weapon

Not every curved sword is a Katana tho

It also doesn't look like a Katana to me, it feels more like a sword.

Throw in a nail on that guard and you might aswell call it the Messer :^p

This looks like a cavalry saber to me, which functionally places it close to a scimitar or katana, I would think? I'm no expert, but it strikes me as a distinctive and pleasing weapon design, and I'd like to see it in-game. :)
