Formable Nations
Though I do not want to add many new formable nations to stay true to the base game, I would love to add a few that are vital to the added timeline.
Please make sure, you suggest more than just the name, like national ideas etc, if you know a bit more about the nation that you would like to have added.

Nation: Soviet Union

Traditions:
-15% Stability Cost Modifier
+1% Attrition for Enemies

Ideas:
(1.) Worker's Party: +0.33 Yearly Republican Tradition
(2.) Jobs for Everyone: +20% Production Efficiency
(3.) The Red Army: +30% Manpower Recovery Speed
(4.) Cult of Progress: -5% Technology Cost
(5.) Army Rations: -5% Regiment Costs
(6.) Socialist Economy: +15% Tax Modifier
(Bonus) +10% Morale of Armies

Formation: I have a bit of a strange idea for the formation of the Soviet Union. Since the state was historically formed through a communist insurgency, I believe that in game it should be formed not by decision, but through a disaster.

Disaster: "The Feburary Revolution"
Starts When:
- Does NOT have the government type "Proletarian Dictatorship"
- Is a Republic
- Stability is less than 1
Progresses When:
- Stability is less than 0 (+1 monthly progress for every point below 0)
- Corruption is higher than 1 (+1 monthly progress for every level of corruption)
- War Exhaustion is higher than 1 (+1 monthly progress for every level of War Exhaustion)
Will End When:
- Stability is at least 3
Effect of Disaster
An event will pop up, stating that a communist coup has overthrown the current government and installed a proletarian dictatorship in its place.
- Country changes to "Soviet Union"
- Government changes to "Proletarian Dictatorship" (Republic with no elections and powerful government bonuses)
- Country gains +3 Stability

By the way, I should probably state what the Proletarian Dictatorship Government would do.
+ Republic with No Elections (except upon ruler death)
+10% Morale of Armies
-0.075 Monthly Autonomy Changes
-50% Harsh Treatment Cost
-2 National Unrest
-10% Power Costs (which I know sounds overpowered, but given that your ruler is going to have 1/1/4 stats every time I think it's justifiable)
This doesn't have to be the way it works I just thought of the concept. Basically, it's a really overpowered monarchy/republic, exclusive to the Soviet Union.

Soviet Union, Proletarian Dictatorship and February Revolution (though I think I'll be calling it October Revolution) are going to be in the first update ;)
But I'll probably change a few of your stats ... but thank you very much for your ideas and input! Such a detailed suggestion really helps me out a lot!

For further ideas and suggestions prior to the release of version 1.1, I've opened up a new discussion folder ... so feel free to comment on my suggested changes.

I think you need an historian for help, lol.

I`m living in the former USSR republic and I know that USSR was born only in 1922, after five years of civil war between "white" republican-monarchists and "red" communists. After February Revolution there was only republican dictatorship of Kerensky.

What about Austro-Hungarian Empire?

Traditions:
1. Blue Danube: +10% to trade steering
2. Soldiers of Kaiser: +5% to discipline

Ambitions:
1. European Federation: -1 or -2 National Unrest

Ideas:
1. Habsburgian Legacy: +2 to legitimacy
2. Ausgleich: +1 or +2 accepted cultures
3. Bohemian Industry: +0.1 production_efficiency
4. Royal Diplomacy: +1 diplomats
5. Dalmatic Ambition: +0.2 naval morale
6. The Grunderzeit: -10% development cost
7. Galician Oil: +5% or +10% global_trade_goods_size_modifier

Formation by decision:
1. Have to own and core Wien, Budapest, Prague, Lwow, Zagreb (A lot of ideas are based on owning those provinces and it would be kinda stupid to have an for example "galician oil" without having Lwow as part of your empire")
2. Stability less than 1 (IRL A-H Empire was founded only after hungarian revolt and decades of discussions between deutsch and hungarian aristocracy)
3. Austrian culture has less than 30% of country`s development. (To represent the multiculturalism in A-H Empire)

Yugoslavia (post 1860; Yugoslavism emerges in second half of 19th century in earnest); maybe tech restriction through institution? Permanent claims on Kingdom of Yugoslavia land. Shouldn't be cultural union for West Slav to simulate cultural conflict in the state (need to work to accept all cultures). Some of the ideas in ET work, however others are more geared towards communist Yugoslavia. These may be more generic Yugoslavian ideas.

Nation: Yugoslavia, Primary culture: Serbian

Traditions:
+1 accepted cultures (west slav union)
+10 infantry CA (slavic military history)

Ideas:
1. Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes: Monthly autonomy -0.05 & -10% state maintenance cost
2. Balkan Resistance: +1 attrition for enemies
3. Rich Balkan mines: +10% Production efficiency (or goods produced)
4. Bid for international recognition: +1 diplomatic relations
5. Serbian lead monarchy: +1 yearly absolutism
6. Cultural Repression: -15% harsh treatment cost
7. Industrial ambition: -10% development cost

Ambition: -1 national unrest

These ideas I believe reflect some of the advantages/ambitions of Yugoslavia pre-communism. Any Yugoslav government would be forced to contend with internal struggles and unrest (especial after forming through conquest in-game), to which harsh treatment & absolutism could model. As centralized as power was, local government still yielded influence/importance, represented by the first national idea.

Feed back is always welcome for any of these ideas:)

Edit: Key provinces for unification would be: Belgrade, Zagreb, and Sarajevo. Control over either all of Serbia, Croatia, or Bosnia's land (one of these nations completely owned) would be necessary as well (any of these states can form Yugoslavia)

Turkey should be formable since it was formed by rebels in 1923
DegenerateWeeb 9 Aug, 2018 @ 3:21pm
Perhaps the French Empire of Napoleon where as France you control Northern Italy and the Low Countries?
2000wires 9 Aug, 2018 @ 4:51pm
@DegenerateWeeb that's pretty much just revolutionary france owning those locations, no need to name a empire after someone that won't exist in every timeline/playthough

More of a suggestion for a civil war but it includes new tags so I will put it here. Basically. Japan should have a Boshin War disaster that causes a civil war between whichever country united Japan (because the unite Japan decision assumes a shogunate and doesn't switch the dynasty to Yamato) and "the Imperial Court" which tag switches to "DNT" (Dai Nippon Teikoku) Japan, using the Imperial flag and a darker shade of red.

If the DNT wins, there should be an event to play as the Ezo Republic (EZO) and take back the home islands in the name of the (Insert clan name) Shogunate and "save the Emperor from his evil advisors" (Remind him of his place). If EZO wins they form a new Shogunate Japan (BKF for Bakufu) with a white color and the black and white Tokugawa banner.

If you want help, add me as a friend and message me about it. I'd love to write events and such but I am a garbo coder.

Belgium was formed shortly after the vanilla end date of 1821 and served a pivotal role in this timeperiod, so I would suggest them.

There should also be an event for the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil, and the Algarves.
---------------------------------------
If POR's capital gets occupied - in the age of revolutions - and they have Brazil as a colony, there should be an event of the monarchy moving to Brazil, which starts an event chain of handling the suddenly uplifted Brazil from colony to fellow kingdom.

Moving the Portuguese capital to the Americas following an inheritance of the colony in the same event should be able to out-maneuver the immediate reinstating of the colonial nation.
