I can get about a 3days worth of food for my 30+ survivors in a single game day, with the longer realtime day settings. And once my crops start coming in,i am hoping i wont have to put any time into food runs anymore.
One day I locked the front door for a minute to cook some food (otherwise they would take it from the oven and eat raw). Guess what? They took down the door and broke a window and actually took meat from the oven! Nothing stops them from consuming your entire fridge in a day.
well when they are starving there is no way to stop them from taking and eating food around the area. but they are NOT supposed to be hoarding food in their inventory. I never told them to do that, so they must have a mind of thier own.
I have 2 farmers (i like farmers, they tend to eat worms while they work :P ) working over 200 plots,so food should be no problem once the crops start rolling in.
Also have 16 refridge/freezers set up in thje food storage area for crops, and about 20 crates full of canned goods.
I seems like you already supposed to have farmer and lots of food and crops before accepting any more people.
