I always thought the concept of a weapon that overheats to be interesting idea, The more you fire the slower it gets before jamming and needing cool down.

+55% Damage [Good]

+20% Movement speed on equip [Good]

Overheats when fired 5 times simutaneously [Bad]

My idea:

+) Does not require ammo (still has a clip, but no ammo)
+) Mini-crits on targets who have recently damaged your buildings (within 2sec of damaging your buildings, applies to your buildings and not all friendly buildings)

-) No random critical hits (but you expected that)
-) 100% slower firing speed (0.34sec attack interval)
-) 33% damage penalty (10 base damage, 13.5/14 minicrit damage)

Because it applies to all buildings placed by you, this weapon can be useful or agressive engineers deploying their buildings in a rush, letting enemies shoot them, and use the mini-crit boost to defend it. This can also work for anyone hitting your sentry from outside its range, making it a solid option for sniper-abusing to the wrangler.

-) No Random Crits.
-) -58% Magazine Size. (Only five shots in a clip instead of twelve.)

no random crits, of course. has around 6 rounds that can deal more damage the longer you hold the trigger? so it is a huntsman deal for the Blaster.

what at full charge is a Direct hit AOE explosive energy ball, but you cannot spam the energy ball, and need to wait a bit, but you still can get around 50 damage aka revolver damage from holding the button?

Does the damge thing work for a spie's sapper as well?
Does not require ammo
No reload necessary
Alt-fire: charge a shot for 3 seconds that will penetrate enemies and cause bleeding for 6 seconds
Weapon cannot be fired for 5 seconds after using the alt-fire
50% slower firing speed
Weapon deals only 20% damage to buildings

Does the damge thing work for a spie's sapper as well?
Yeah, I suppose. This would be a great bonus for dealing with sapper-spammer spies.
