Running the Bot on a home computer
So I know this is 2 years old now and also mostly in german but... I started a TTT server (with the custom roles mod) and was trying to get this working. I've been looking at your explanation on how to get the bot working on my own computer. The server and the bot program are both running on my computer, I have a static IP, and the port have been opened. I wanted to start a new discussion in hopes you would see it and could (re)explain how it should work.

The main issue I'm having is when someone tries to connect their discord handle with their steam handle in-game the addon cannot send the request to the program because it doesn't have the address - I get the error: "Err: invalid url". I have experience with node but have not used lua before but I'm googling figuring it out quickly.

You would also have to delete line 129 in the index.js for the node server, because it specifies that the server only listens to requests from the localhost.

If I'm running both the gmod server and the bot on my computer I shouldn't have to disable this correct?

If you then enter the IP / domain that leads to your PC in the shared.lua of the Gmod addon in line 43 it should work.

This is the part which I'm confused about because line 43 in the lua file is:
function GET(req,params,cb,tries)

I would greatly appreciate any help with this as some of my friends can't shut up. :steamfacepalm:
