Hosting Your Own Server!

Listen Servers:
All settings that you can manipulate can be found in the settings on the right-hand panels when creating a new game. Once you change the top-right drop down menu from Single Player to # Players, all of the options will become available. More options are always being added.

Dedicated Servers:
Your options set up will be slightly different. The easiest way to change these settings, is to open and look at the "sv_vars.lua" file in the gamemode/scavhunter/gamemode/ directory, and look up the scav_command for the setting you wish to change. From the server console, type this command with your new value, repeat for all settings you wish to use, then changelevel and restart the server. Your setting will be saved and the server will restart with these new settings.

A NOTE ABOUT MAPS:
Until the gamemode takes off and more maps are created for it, you will want to test all the maps you want to add to your server. Ensure that there are more than 1 or 2 spawn points, ensure that not all the spawn points are in the same area, and last but not least, make sure you type "proplist" in the console (as the server). This will retrieve a list of props the gamemode detected on the map. You will want to make sure that this list is rather large, otherwise there won't be a very big selection of props to find for the scavengers. If the map has plenty of spawns, they're spaced apart, and there's at least 20 different props to find, the map should be OK to use.
