Reformer Focus Tree Too Set on Purging
I think it should be possible to tolerate an opposition in your nation. Especially with the Reformers. The Reformers are prone to the old ways and to be the legitimate US government. To purge the opposition is undemocratic, unlegitimate and immoral on top of things.

I don't see why The American Dream and Home is Nevada should have the purge requisit. It should be enough for it to be popular or unpopular with the two factions

Ok, but you're not them. Once their popularity goes down enough it should pacify those plans. It's not like they can't be convinced. When your party gets stronger it's because the purists have been convinced. Even the focus tree states that the Purists have centrists

You don't need to purge the officers at all. You can just do the Reform the Officer Corps focus and bypass it.

That one I figured out by accident. It's neat. The purge requirements still linger, tho

Well yes true. Reformists shouldn't kill the Purists what so ever. However the more extreamists of the Purists want to kill the Reformists and Centrists.

I don't think it should be out of the question. The end justifying the means and all that. They may see it as a necessary evil to achieve their goals or their very survival. Only problem I have is that the focus tree forces you that way even though it's possible to have all former purists convinced to your side

The current government of the U.S does this. "Purge" doesn't necessarily mean "kill." Just prevent them from being able to speak, perhaps lock them up, although perhaps the occasional dissident or inconvenient person could be Epsteined.

What I hate about this is I was like man this sucks I hope it never happens to me and now I am stuck in a pointless game because I can not do anything to gain a big enough amount of support to advance in anything.

You should be able to recruit advisers and make speeches. Do you not have those options?

I do it just it doesn't give me enough support to ever overturn the tides so I can not do anything I had to scrape that save cause it was going no where.

The advisers should give daily support. Where is the other support coming from?

I do not know I just know that every speech or disappearance or exercise never gave me enough reformer support to do anything.

I can't really suggest what went wrong without knowing what was happening.

Reaching out to centrist seems to be what caused the problem as when i did it again and just went crackdown route I was fine.

I Reach Out To The Centerists in every playthrough without any problem.
