Report a translation problem
It would need a way of defining which server to use which key for. At the moment this is not the case.
It may be easier to have it so that you can set the key via command line parameters.
Would that work for your setup?
Could it not be defined as:
[ArkServersPlus]
APIKeyServer1=XXXXxxxxxXXXXX
APIKeyServer2=XXXXxxxxxXXXXX
APIKeyServer3=XXXXxxxxxXXXXX
(the above could be set by the system when the registration of the server happens. So not only the API Key itself but also the initial definition)
Obviously this would not be needed if the server host does not symlink the .ini files ;-)
If you try to use the fancy variables in your messages like {XPMultiplier} it wont work, but everything else (Sending those notifications and setting the rates should work just fine). I'll work out a method that eliminates the need for the api key all together.
I will run some tests today as I have a long weekend so will have a play and report back to this thread ;)
Thank you for the prompt replies and help that you have kindly given
I have the same problem on my servers. I do only have 1 central config.
I think many self-hosters does have this problem.
@Twisted
The easiest way to solve that problem is when you define a custom config-file for the api key. Place that config file under the servers /Saved/ folder (Each server out there has its own save directory --> so this solution will work for all kind of configurations out there)
Not sure if technical possible to do that...but that would be great and a working solution for all.
IP/Domain and Port is a must field to add a server to your page. So this should be usable as key?
Nice!!!! Looking forward to the update :)
Would love to get this running on all of our servers for allowing multiplier changes on the fly :)
