I like the shape design. The only thing I would change its to make the dangle bits more dangle. I'm only going off the picture but it looks like they get flexible halfway down and not dangle more at their connection to the sword (which i would recommend). Although I wouldn't mind it being removed altogether due to the existance of our sugatras. I suspect it could get messy at that spot with them and the natural dangle part to it right now.
