Only in rare and under specific circumstances do countries change their flags. Which is why, I deduced, that Finland under these circumstances wouldn't change their flag. You can see that in many cases flags will remain the same, because there really isn't a reason to change them and the ideology/group that is in charge would have no reason to change the flag (and may even be against it).
