I noticed that there are more logs available on this map than are needed for completing it.

Have you considered adding a third lumber mill to the map? Maybe the north west could be a good place for it, e.g. near the fuel tanker. Everything else could be left unchanged, because you already put enough fuel and logs to deliver 8 more load points.
