I have built some large new areas and sdded access from the beginning dungeon at Sidonia's Castle exterior. Solo can be difficult depending on your race and class so I wanted to give some pointers for success.

1) Use a ranged weapon (some classes get a fletching tool - lvl 4 up you can use some of the arrows or bolts and have a far more powerful weapon.

2) Use your familial, animal companion and summons if you have them - get a henchman cat at Bertha's Kitty Botique (Annakol North Road) or dog from the Annakol City Kennels. Get healing kits from the outfitters in Annakol City.

3) Need gold for all that? - The Annakol Fishing hole entrance is near the Annakol Outfitters Shop or from the Annakol North Road along the city wall, west side. Sell your catch at the Annakol Outfitters. Fishing equipment is free in the barrels at the fishing hole.

4) Solo is fine but playing in similar level groups is even better - if there are people on - talk to them.
