Incorrect minions number?
Hi. I play as necromancer and have a problem. I summon 2 skeletons, but sometimes it shows sketeton icon with number 3 on it, or 4 or else incorrect. Is also happens with other minions. It can show number bigger then i can actually have at current lvl. Is that just my problem or a known bug? I have 1338 version as it says in mod manager, downloaded from moddb.

The necromancer counter for some reason would bug once 'n a while, I did a lot of rewriting of it to fix the issue but could never really figure it out. I found it did it a lot when resummoning or playing with other people, although also happened solo once in a while. What was the context you were in? Solo? Summoning a lot?

Always solo. Never played multiplayer. Summoning a lot means resummoning one type of minions repeatedly? Then I'd say no. Or summoning different minions in row (like after death i need to recast all minions again) then yes. But even that not always. Sometimes i can load the game and counter will show 4 skeletons when i actually have only 2. Or i just go through some area and counter at some moment shows 1 Spore alive when i have 2. Didn't notice when that happened. I will try to figure if i can find some dependencies in this problem.

I noticed similar issues. In exploration areas/dungeons it's usually ok, but sometimes it will give a higher number than is actually there. Zombies and death dolls seem particularly easy to catch it with, but my testing isn't thorough.

When visiting towns the numbers are virtually always off.

its tied to when the monster dies, its not always reporting its death correctly. At the moment if i remember correctly the monster sends out a pulse that the player picks up and triggers a subtraction. When the monster dies in some manner that negates that pulse, it doesn't get picked up and removed, at which point the number starts to fluctuate. I was never able to find a more reliable way to do it, as the base game itself had no reason to track minions in the way I made the necromancer.

I'm currently playing through with a ranger/paladin combo. I'll make sure to keep note of the necromancer counter issue and see if i can revisit it when I have a moment between pieces i'm active on.

I think there is more to it than just the monsters dying. I'm getting wrong numbers even when just entering the game in town and having some summons, as well as after resummoning the whole lot.

Still, it's only a minor inconvenience.
Thanks for all the hard work.

The same issue here. If the counters are bugged then perhaps they should be removed or reworked? As it stands it feels like an alpha version of the game or worse. I have a counter showing 1 skeleton and it is long dead. In the heat of the battle it is really hard to notice if the skeleton is there or not. The necromancer feels like a half made character. It gives an amaterish vibe to the mod.
