What is really weird is we played for several hours yesterday with no issues, but today we can't get it to work correctly.
We're both playing on Steam, with the same mods enabled in the same order. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Both my kids and I really like the game and we love this mod!
Make sure all the mods are in the correct load order in order for players to be able to actually join the game.
Yeah it seems their servers are taking a dump, using a tunnel program if you can't already make a LAN game will solve this problem fast and easily.
RadminVPN
Hamachi
etc
Okay so I just now got into a multiplayer game while using this mod. We had issues and this is the solution:
All players must have the same mod and have them in the same order in the mod screen.
This worked for us, hope it works for you. Good luck!
Re: MULTIPLAYER ISSUES - I had this problem for months and even did a bunch of research and tried so many of the solutions, only to have none of them work.
The most ridiculous answer on how to fix it, was actually the right one.
Here it is:
UNFRIEND AND RE-FRIEND THE PEOPLE YOU ARE DOING MULTIPLAYER WITH EVERY TIME YOU START A GAME
The multiplayer works perfectly every time after you've done that. Remove them, add them back, poof, stuff works. So dumb, but completely true.
