Hello, downloaded your mod. It looks interesting. Trying to build the structure at blackhole. I can select it from the constructor, but there is no selection option at the blackhole (select site to build).

I have other mods working.

So maybe there is a conflict? or a bug?

Please help.

That's odd, after some checking the mod seems to work fine for me. Can you list the mods you had running? also try running the mod by itself to see if that fixes the problem

Not seeing any of the civics mentioned, with or without other mods active.

All civics in the description are planned features, not currently in the mod as of yet

I can't build the Penrose Sphere around a black hole BUT i can select it in a menu of megastructures. Same problem like "kyho78" had.

You asked for mods that are around the game when it happens so here's the list of mods that were online:

  • :::Untedious Upgrading:::
  • Expanded Stellaris Traditions
  • Faster Traditions
  • Gummy's Faster Gameplay
  • Legendary Worlds 2.0
  • Repeatable Ascension Theory Technology
  • Ultimate Technologies 2.0

Launch with this mod only
- Megastructure can be constructed aroud black hole just fine BUT only when black hole doesn't have any sub entity around it such as research station. Strangely enough outpost doesn't count.

Launch with all mods listed
- When I was writing this report I found out that The Sphere could be built only around black hole that doesn't have any station on it, at least in my case, so I ran Stellaris under my normal gameplay and disbanded research station around it.

- Result is the same as in the first case.

Conclusion: The Penrose Sphere can be constructed around a black hole only when the black hole is alone with no construction except for the outpost around it's orbit.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Most likely there won't be any mod conflicts since this mod revolves around a single megastructure, perks and other small stuff which is a lone code that isn't put into other codes.
I'm just gonna leave this here anyway even that I solved my problem. Others may have this problem too and this may be an answer to them.
Since normal vanilla megastructures can be built around planets/stars with stations around them and this megastructure can't, it should be taken as a bug.

The Penrose Sphere has the same placement rules as the Dyson Sphere, which also cant be build around stars with mining/research stations, so this is not a bug.

I seem unable to upgrade my Planetary Administration to the Planetary Capital.

Hi my dude,

a few month after colonizing the first part of the ring i had the rare "stopped terraformation" (or whatever it is in english) event.
First I was amused because the event description was like "who could have build this?" and I was like "?? me ??"
Then, i pursued the terraformation to see whet would happen, and there it is. https://ibb.co/gs9658
I guess It's pretty unlucky i get a toxic world but whatever. I think no matter what world type i had this would happen anyway.
In terms of gameplay I can't tell if this changed anything (I mean if I still could or not build the specific buildings - I was on Ironman so I couldn't test it)
It's not a litteral bug but i guess this sould not happen. I hope you won't struggle too much to fix this :steamhappy:

@Le Prince de Moldavie yeah I'd say that's a bug. I guess the event was coded to act on any thing that is not a habitat or a ring world section instead of specific habitable worlds. Anyways, it shouldn't be anything more than a copy paste job. the coding for the buildings are set to so they can only be built on the ring sections, so even if you got a habitable world you wouldn't have been able to build the special buildings anyways

My pops started dying for no reason at random intervals.
Ginジン 16 Jun, 2018 @ 11:09pm
I am having the same problem as the person above, but it turns out they aren't dying, they're migrating as refugees to pretty much any other planet they know of. Same thing happens with every other empire, causing a near-permient +20 happiness modifier, while also making non-xenophile empires unplayable, and xenophile empires still annoying as "your" pops are constantly moving away and coming back, giving you members of every species in the galaxy, including the OP FE pops and the awful pops. please fix soon, as I love this mod.

(Also, I have done tests and did find out that it is your mod specifically, as I have a mod myself and was worried that it was mine that was doing it)

Ok turns out the disappearing pops problem is a bigger issue than I thought, as such, I can't offer a fix right know

Yea, I'm getting this as well when using the blood god civic. Seems to start happening around year 20, and also seems to stop whilst you have occupied planets, before the mass migration as refugees begins again (only tested on two saves though, up to 60 years in). It does unfortunately make the mod unusable atm, which is a real shame as the mod is very enjoyable normally.

I too get the disappearing pops bug, and I am not using the blood god civic. It does make the mod unusable. By the way, you should alert people to this bug on the main page. I have spent a week tracking this bug to this mod by sheer trial and error; a lot of effort that could have been avoided.
