I don't know if Spoon has a discord, email, whatsoever, but i wanted to make a thread where we can make suggestions, if Spoon is open for ideas ofc .)

I have to say that i don't know what is planned for this overhaul in detail, nor do i know the capabilities of the engine/Modding tools which are used. So sorry for any idea which can not be realised ^^

-Heighadjustment for Buildings/more flexibility in placing. I don't know how i cannot build on a gap in one place, otherwise it's no problem. Weird ^^
- Fishingspots? I guess there are already mods for this.
-The brigdes we have are pretty difficult to build. Is it possible to have a snapping onto pieces so that we can build over gaps easier?
-Patrol routes for Perimeterdefence/Guardposts?

If i get anyother ideas ill adjust this post. Someone else have ideas? :)

A suggestion from a fan: It seems the bed rent, hirable NPCs and house prices haven't been touched despite the economy overhaul. Might wanna make them a tad cheaper in price.

As spoon stated in the comments just recently, housing should be kind of expensive, same with recruitment. I mean they Will literally fight until they die for you, that should be somehow costly, don't you think?^^ Beside, building somewhere safe and gearing up is still cheap as hell, and you can, if you play your cards right, get rich pretty fast with low effort with drugs smuggling or food if you can produce some

I'm not saying they should be outlandishly cheap. Just by a small number (7%? 10%?) to even things out a tad more.

A baseline of the plans are in the description, but alot of the time I'm trying to push the limits of the game and see what I can add. So things can change.
Overall though, the general direction is more realistic, more lore, more "life", more items, more early, mid and especially end game content.
I want to cater for all play styles.

As for modding tools, I use FCS, Photoshop, and good 'ol Notepad++

I can have a look at this. Any buildings in particular?
Edit: Also keep in mind, many of the models for new buildings are placeholders.

Fishing is planned to be added to the game.
If it isn't added soon though, I'll add it in to the mod.

Sort of. They can snap to nodes, but that doesn't help very much,
because the nodes are in bad spots.
I'll see what I can do with bridges though.

I'll be adding "life" to all towns. This will include patrols, events, and generally more NPC's.

Bed rent has been slightly changed in some areas. (I might make it a little cheaper)

Some hired npcs are cheaper, recruiting is not.
The plan is to keep these very expensive. They are currently at 10x the value.
But will likely be dropped to around 5x. I'm in the process of playing the mod myself to
get balancing right on a few things.
On the other hand, I do plan on adding some more 'free' recruits.

Housing prices should be changed. I'll see if I can do this in the next update.
They will again still be expensive, but still much less that they are currently.

Actually the bed rent changes seem to have broken some time ago.
I had a quick look and it doesn't seem to be able to be changed anymore.
I even tried to give each gamestart squad a specific bed price but it kept
defaulting to 100c...
I'll keep it on the things to do list though, and I think there are some ways to get it to work

what would be really cool is if you could make your own faction , and have a flag or code of arms and each region would have bosses and generals or w/e as you beat the region it would become yours to more or less control(no bad guys) and if you beat everyone /or diplomicy on the map you become king. so if your flag color is blue say ,as you beat each region it turns it blue and maybe you get special perks from your areas like cheaper stores or cheaper hirlings , kind of edless the ideas that can spawn from this.

Well, you do start with your own faction, and they did recently add something similar to the Reactive World mod to the base game, which means you can 'kill' towns, and no enemies will spawn. Adding flags isn't quite possible at this time though.

Also I've investigated house pricing. The system they used has been changed, and currently
I can't change the pricing. Will be looking into further though.
Houses in town should be very expensive though. Especially if you are kicking out residents.

I am honestly more the Free roaming Basebuilder. For that i wanted the Copper mine, since there are pretty spots ( Gut for example ) where there is almost no copper. Or it is so wide spread that you need a mega base xD
