Problems with passive taming

Does anyone else struggle with passive tames in this mod? I feel like they're bugged; I've tried to passive tame both Hydrotherosaurus and Brachauchenius with kibble and both times after the first feed I have yet to see a second, even after 20-30 minutes at a passive tame interval multiplier of 0.05.
