5) maybe explain why you think this mod is causing the problem

Vague reports can only get the response " well, that doesn't happen here "

The game produces log files. These are essential for debugging.

If you have HugsLib, press ctrl-F12 to upload logs

Or find logs here:
+ Windows: Steam/steamapps/common/Rimworld/RimWorld_Data/output_log.txt
+ Mac OS X: /Users/[Username]/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log
+ Linux: Pass '-logfile /tmp/rimworld_log' to the RimWorld binary. It generates a log at that location.
And upload it all to pastebin.com or something

FYI this is fixed. The load order was a problem, although I had code so the load order shouldn't matter, that somehow recently stopped working so new code makes load order not matter.

I've experienced a small bug/conflict between this mod and the lizardman mod, basically the lizardman mod adds a couple research options that can only be down by lizardmen and this mod will try and research those ones, regardless of if you have a lizardman colonist or not causing all research to lock up and become stuck as it won't be discovered and thus can't be cancelled. Only work around I've found to fix the lock up is to edit the save file and remove the current research project.
I don't have any debug logs for this because I haven't experienced this problem yet on my current save, I'll post them if you want if this problem occurs.

Well you can enable devmode and godmode to bypass random research restrictions for odd cases like this.

"Random research" restriction. Not like the tech tree requirement restrictions

godmode just turns off random research features.

So in a lockup case / it trying to research something already completed like in the comments, one would then have to play the rest of the game with godmode on? Or just to start a new research project?

My question is, in your experience, if godmode needs to stay on the rest of the game to remain unstuck or if you just had to godmode long enough to pick another research project?

I'm not asking for definitive answers for all future bugs, I'm asking how your godmode solution has worked in the past. So I know if using this mod is too "risky" or not.

Wait sorry, I somehow missed the mid descriptions mentioning of dev mode to turn off the random piece. That answered my question. Thanks for trying to explain things to me.

I;m having an issue where the research bar fills, I don't get any notifications and then when the bar is full, it just sort of? starts over? But I havnt learned anything

There was a problem with Research Pal that made notifications not show up. Should've been fixed but I dunno -

I think maybe Research Tree is the way to go now. (ResearchPal was just a copy of Tree from a while back)

The issue of the research complete notification not showing is still an issue with research tree.

The Mod sometimes selects research that require advanced research bench or multi analyzer. when i don't have one. That makes the mod stuck making the game unplayable unless i disable and enable the mod vir cheats and reselect research it can do defeating the purpose of the mod. please fix, cos if it wasn't for this it would be and brilliant mod
