Suggestions and Bugs
Suggestions:
Please post any suggestions that you've got below! In particular I'm interested in the pacing of stories. Is it too many? Too few? Too often? Not often enough? Any suggestions that you have might very well be completely ignored... or completely embraced! Honestly, it's just great to have more input on the final product!

Bugs:
First of all, if you find a mod-breaking bug that causes you to see stories as nothing more than something such as: "<MTTopStory1Title> <MTTopStory1Story>"... honestly, it's not that big of a deal! Let the game run for 3 more sol and see if the next edition of the newspaper produces the same error. If it does, then let me know here:

(1) what sol you were on

(2) describe the bug

(3) provide a link to an imgur of the mods that you currently have active or simply list them below


From that along with the date of your bug submission I should be able to hunt down the variable that's not playing nicely.

Maybe I could help with translation on russian language?(if it'll be necessary)

Hey NLSHD!

First off, I'm extremely honored that you deem this work worthy of translation! Thank you very much for that!

As for the translation itself, I did some work for one of my previous mods to enable translation (the Tech Researched Popup) into Korean, so I know what's required code-wise to make my code eligible for translation and I built into it the basic foundation necessary...

...that said, I have been putting so much time into the core functions and creating new stories, that I didn't quite complete the work. It would take a few hours of coding to accomplish (and many hours of translation on your part!). ...that said... recognizing that it's THIS popular (over 120 downloads in just 24 hours!!), I fully intend on going back and updating the code to make this possible.

That said... I know nothing of how to enact a Translation Mod itself, although I have seen them around. I'll create a new discussion solely based around Translation to keep everyone updated on progress.

This mod looks like it'd be a fun thing to play with. Do you have any plans to make a release to somewhere like NexusMods so that people who got the game through GOG can use it too?

I have put my other two mods on NexusMods, but not this one... mostly it was because I have intentions of finishing off a few other things. It takes a little more work to keep NexusMods up to date than it does to keep Steam up to date, so I'm a bit leary of just tossing it out there...

I have hopes of returning to work on this mod again in the near future (I still have goals to finish off making it translation compatible, and adding another 30 or 40 stories, at least). I'll keep this in mind once that is completed. Hopefully you'll see an update here by the end of next week both here, and over there on NexusMods.

I posted my suggestion in the comments, and am not a modder so have no clue how hard or easy it is. But basically if you build a tech Reporter to be researched, unlocks the building Newsroom, has room for one person per shift, three shifts, could have up to nine or whatever. No bots though, hasta be manned like the Officer. Then the news isn't just interesting. It could give morale boosts, or negatives, depending on good news or bad news. No clue how to implement something like that, but would make for a really cool twister in the game. With no building though, no bonus/negative eh.

Any chance you could make a version of this mod that has a building associated with it? Like a media/newsroom building that non-specialists can work inside, so that once it's built and operational you start getting news stories (and maybe it generates a small amount of income, less than the TV station). I think that would be cool anyway!

There seems to be a bug with the story about the breakthrough dome (oval dome). The text of the article doesn't show up.
