Where are the Dinos?
Amissa is no doubt a beautiful map in parts, but there are serious issues with the dinosaurs and their spawn rates.

The map is pretty big but seems sparsely populated with dinos that tend to spawn in clusters and consist mostly of the same type.

When I first started and saw a lot of trikes together, I thought it was great to see a pack. But now wherever I go, the same dinos are spawning. mostly trikes, dilos, a few stegos, parasaurs, galli, and a few pheomia.

I was expecting to see a lot more dinos in the snow biomes, and thusfar I have seen only 3 mammoths, one rhino, and 3 wolves.

I have only come across one extinction dino, and one abberation dino. Nothing else.

Drake Island also has no sign of any rock drakes, or eggs, and bar a couple of carbonemys and dilos at the entrance there is literally nothing else there.

So where are the dinos?

I have the same problem. I even went into singleplayer, put creative mode on and /fly just to check the map out and it is not a lot of dinos anywhere. I tried increasing the dino spawn rate in the settings (works on other maps) but it didn't seem to make much difference.

No answers other than yours, Pony :S

Seems maybe we can check the map out again when this gets fixed. Thanks for your reply :)

I have the same issue with an empty Rock Drake Island in single player, but I haven’t had the low spawn problems you described on the rest of the map. Every biome has had plenty of wild Dino’s, dangerous and docile. It’s even seemed to me that, on average, the Dino’s spawn in at higher levels. Sorry you haven’t had the same experience.

Hi Enk, yeah - and you know that's the sad thing, an empty Drake island. I really wanted to experience a drake -.-"

I don’t know how to explain it, but I now have Drakes on the island. All low level, with eggs on nests. The only change in my single player game occurred when I lowered the difficulty level so I could have a better chance to beat the Alpha Dragon. I know that would effect the levels of Dino’s, but could it actually effect whether they spawn in at all?

Hey Enk that is very interesting, I will give it a go. Thank you for the update :)
