Well I want to ask for peoples opinion or possibly turn this into a suggestion. I feel like despite having a Roman subfaction in the game for Ancient World, having a Byzantine/Eastern Roman Subfaction for Crusaders would be kind of cool. I know they are not really Catholic Crusaders but they did participate in a few Anatolian Battles in the First Crusade at least. At the same time maybe adding a Mongol or Berber Subfaction to the Islamic Factions would be interesting. That way those two factions might become more popular to play instead of the Lord of the Rings Meta we have currently.
