I'm going to say try to remove the translation mod. If the issue continues please leave another message here and I will try to help you out again. Also try just using my mod and trial and error method the issue. Other than that I will be looking at my mod and trying to find issues, Thanks!
I do not think it will break anything no
Directly went to team management -> HR.
I'm on stable branch, so 10.6.9. Win 7 64bit.
Found nothing on web, what explains [NoLoc].
No Location? No Localization? No Locomotive?
1.) 10 Game.xml
Some genres use namegeneration "GameAdvAct". I fixed that on my side, where own namegen files are present. I can't find a RPG-themed namegeneration file to set it up in "10 Game.xml".
2.) NameGen file "email.txt" has not been set in one of your software categories. Is that an old file or just a missing setting?
3.) I'm actually looking into the namegeneration part of your mod. I love diversity, so i filled several files with more life.
f.e.
company.txt
base: ~ 30 -> 120
base2: ~ 6 -> 30
ext: ~10 -> 16
Same for several software types actually. Added there up to 3-10 times more combinations.
There are no silly names in categories, where you wrote down theme related words, i follow your theme. My Nickname is nowhere present. I don't need to get attention in a game.
If okay, i would create a RPG-themed namegen file, too.
4.) If you are interested in my expanded name generation files, add me as friend or write your "No" here.
5.) After that, if allowed, i think about a conversion to german (not that prob to stay updated with Notepad++ with compare plugin). But hopefully it's possible to do that on top of a mod as seperate conversion mod, so no original files need to be touched.
6.) Otherwise i will go a bit deeper into balancing. As newbie all your files look a bit overwhelming.
7.) Perhaps you can give me an impression how to balance a mod like yours, to check, if i can find misleading settings. I don't want to do a mod by myself, it's soooo much work and there are already several data mods out there. Like your massive mod, that i try to understand.
8.) No need to quote whole post, just use 1.) - 7.) to make it shorter.

My first Conclusion:
Not enough active companies for almost 70 product categories. An avg. of 41,5 companies is by far not enough to build a competive healthy environment here. A category market should at least have 2, better 3 or 4 competitors. The huge games section needs a finer tweaking, probably.
- 36 categories are on an average test run almost and also literally not represented.
- Some categories are spamed by AI. 3,5-10% overall presence.
- The companies released an avg. of 29 products in 29 years. Looks okay.
But i haven't checked details if more code/art units are needed per product in your mod. I also did not went into detail, how wealthy these companies are after 29 years. That would say more about the product prices, in relation to dev time (code units) and sold units. But that would only make sense, after the market competitor amount becomes more healthy.
You like sports? Uhm...
Sorry for my bad english, it's not my first language.

tabs Win&Loss Stats + Company Ages
Conclusion:
- Something is massively out of balance.
- None of the start companies from 1970 existed over 40 years. Oldest one of two test runs was from 1984. All companies founded up to 1995 had 0 products in account and had up to 20k dollars left.
- Almost only younger companies where sometimes well wealthy. Most old and young companies had under 1M money worth, ~60-70% of all companies.
- Many products are out of balance and can't reach around 70% profits/category (my personal okay-zone, to let companies stay alive and grow).
Some had simple a nailed 100% loss, also a prominent one like "audio playback tool", who carried the 10-games-test run before with 10% of whole market share. No wonder, that many companies die, if they develope 100% loss projects.
- Products with 1 Dollar profit were counted as positive profit. But args.. 1 Buck is a win?! Well..
If i calculate carefully i would set all products under 150-200k as loss, too. Waiting times between developement f.e.. If i would do that the positive profit products number crashes in some categories.
Hope all that helps to figure some problems out.
I'm saying that the update that balanced things out broke my mod
that sucks. i do actually trial&error a bit with some numbers in your mod, to see effects.
Don't surrender. My old eyes and the brain will have a look, too.
Actually i edited some parameters in /softwaretypes/05 Audio Tool.xml to lower the spawn of audio players and to raise the chance of editing suite.
<Categories>
<Category Name="Playback tool">
<Description>The simplest of simple playback tools</Description>
<Popularity>0.6</Popularity>
<Retention>0.5</Retention>
<TimeScale>0.6</TimeScale>
<Iterative>0.2</Iterative>
<IdealPrice>5.00</IdealPrice>
</Category>
<Category Name="Audio Editing Suite">
<Description>For the desk</Description>
<Popularity>0.5</Popularity>
<Retention>0.7</Retention>
<TimeScale>1</TimeScale>
<Iterative>1</Iterative>
<IdealPrice>339.99</IdealPrice>
</Category>
Playback tool:
I doubled the timescale, that mainly stops the ultra spam (i think). i tested Iterative 0.2, but that only seems to let companies make more own labels and less often successors. Think that can get the 1 again. i lowered the retention, just for a test, have to check the sold units with old/ new retention tomorrow.
AudioEditingSuite:
Set timescale to 1, because it's the master piece of software in this category. It's expensive ebough to generate much more often than playback tool (where the price tag/ code units/ have to be reviewed tomorrow. I set the retention higher. a expensive product would be longer in use, i think.
I also created a /companytypes/Audio Tool.xml to control this category, it wasn't before.
<CompanyType>
<Specialization>Audio Tools</Specialization>
<PerYear>0.2</PerYear>
<Min>1</Min>
<Max>2</Max>
<Types>
<Type Software="Audio Tool">1</Type>
</Types>
</CompanyType>
now audio editing suite appears more often, 18-25 actually over 30 years. with that, mediaplayers and antivirus spawns in with decent numbers of 25-30. both needed the audio editing suite to be developed.
I'm happy with that result in short but late (here in germany) time.
Next thing after audio tools review will be the web browser, who is still missing in action.
BTW:
Have you seen, that Game engines in 2010 have ETA 13 years?
Perhaps MediaPlayers and Audio Tools would do okay in same companytypes.xml?
